Description:This class will cover basic combustion engine components, carburetion, electrical systems, 2 stroke vs 4 stroke engines, and basic engine maintenance. Basic Combustion Engine Syllabus: 1. Introduction to what will be covered for the next 16 weeks. 2. Engine components. 3. Engine Block, Crank, Cam, Valves, Timing. 4. Maintenance: Filters Air, Oil, Gas and Spark Plugs. 5. Carburetion fuel air mixture. 6. Electrical Systems. 7. Battery Direct Current Theory, Battery Maintenance 8. Meters used for testing. 9. Volt-Ohm-Amps. 10. Dwell and RPM's. 11. Starting Electrical System. 12. Charging Electrical System. 16. There will be a lot of discussion, students questions will be answered at the time they are asked, and discussion between instructor and students.

Fairytale Theater: Frog and Toad Ages 5yr-10yr Seleia Neal Winter/Spring 2021 Arts
Schedule: Tuesday - Auditorium - 002: 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm
Description:Join us as we play, act, dance, and sing! Jump into a magical land of make believe with a special script written by and for your young performers!In this class we will take well known stories of Frog and Toad and add a bit of humor as we turn them into a script! Children develop confidence as they get their first glimpse of the joy of theater. Your young actors will learn theater vocabulary and develop their stage presence through games and practice. Wear costumes, play with props, and have all sorts of fun as we prepare for our big show! Parents are asked to help with memorization by practicing lines with their young actors at home. Students will get to show off what they have learned in front of an audience at The Main Stage Theatre Showcase April 27th! Invite your family and friends, admission is free. (Mandatory dress rehearsal April 26th.) Please note that this is an 11 week class, and will NOT continue after the showcase.

There will be demos, instruction of how to make basic vessels and plenty of creative freedom for thoughtful or independent learners. This class is for beginning, intermediate or advanced ceramics students. In addition, pottery students will have the opportunity to come for open studio time 1 in addition to class.

Ballet 3 Ages 10yr-18yr Kaylah Alicea Winter/Spring 2021 Dance

Description:This class is for those students who have met the requirements of either Ballet 2A or 2B and have received authorization from the teacher to advance. This class will meet two times a week and involve longer barre work, harder floor combinations along with specific technique and foot work. Students will be expected to work through advanced combinations and begin preparing their bodies for pointe. This class is advanced and will require strength and stamina. Students will also be required to take the dance conditioning class on Thursday. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun. Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Spring Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd at 6:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal the evening before on May 20th at 6:30 PM. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive half off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due by March 15th. (Estimated $25 to rent.)

Rise Up Singing- Choir 1 Ages 10yr-14yr Sia Hoyt Winter/Spring 2021 Music

Description:Calling all choristers! Students will learn a variety of music from folk songs and rounds to prayer and hymns. Emphasis will be on joy in singing. There will be an end-of-semester choir presentation of the songs we have been working on for families of students.

Ballet 1B (10-13) Ages 10yr-12yr Alexa Kehler Winter/Spring 2021 Dance

Description:Ballet 1B (10-13yr olds)– This class is to be taken after Ballet 1A and 2A are completed or upon entering the ballet program at an older age.    Barre Skills: First, second, and fifth position, tendu, plie, grand plie, releve, sous-sus, arabesque, proper barre etiquette, and must be able to show a stronger ability to hold positions longer and with correct body placement.    Center Floor: Chasse, pique, single pirouette from fourth, arabesque, chasse sote, glissade, echappe and balance.   Across the floor: chaine turns, basic grandjete leaps. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun.This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Beginning Logic Ages 10yr-13yr Amy Azevedo Winter/Spring 2021 Language Arts

Description:When kids grow up, they are much better equipped to deal with real world problems if they can think outside the box. Logical reasoning is found across the curriculum as your student grows and will be used in mathematics, humanities, music, and science and engineering. This class will teach early logic skills with logical puzzles and brain teasers, detecting fallacies, recognizing assumptions, becoming aware of propaganda and more. This class is taught as an early introduction to logical thinking and, with this age group in mind, will be a lighter class with puzzle solving, group work, and games as well as individual work. Please bring a notebook and pencil to class.

Lyrical 1B (10-18) Ages 10yr-18yr Alexa Kehler Winter/Spring 2021 Dance

Schedule: Tuesday - Dance Studio A - 116: 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm
Description:Students will learn to dance with expression and artistry, using differing emotions and styles of music. Previous dance experience is preferred but not required. Student’s basic dance skills will be strengthened and they will be stretched to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We may be dancing with props including ribbons. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Spring Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd at 6:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal the evening before on May 20th at 6:30 PM.
