Description:
This class is for those who have completed ballet 4 and are also enrolled in dance conditioning (or a fitness class if necessary for scheduling). We will be focusing on intermediate pointe work and endurance. Technique on pointe will be something that is talked about often and will be focused on as well. Our goal for the year will be to gain more strength to last longer and perform better on pointe shoes. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, ballet slippers and pointe shoes) as well as hair pulled back in a bun. Students will be performing in a Winter Showcase on January 19th as well as the Spring Dance Show in May (16th-19th). Description:
Ballet I is all about helping students express themselves well and gracefully while still having a lot of fun! I want to encourage a love of dance and that comes with instruction that is not only foundational but joyful as well. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun.This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Spring Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd at 6:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal the evening before on May 20th at 6:30 PM. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive half off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due by March 15th. (Estimated $25 to rent.)
