I teach private piano lessons Levels 1-6, seeking to develop students’ piano playing skills and love for music in a nurturing environment. I am a graduate of Prairie Bible College and Pensacola Christian College, have a Level 10 Piano Certificate from Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto), and have 35 years’ experience, including classical and church music. Using Faber Piano Adventures as the basic curriculum, which includes a variety of musical styles, I introduce beginning students to keyboard topography, note reading, rhythms and finger technique, using fun pieces and duets with teacher. After advancing through the intermediate level, I channel students to Keith Snell’s Piano Repertoire series. A PARENT IS REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT AND OBSERVE LESSONS FOR CHILDREN 10 AND UNDER AND TO PROVIDE GUIDANCE DURING HOME PRACTICE TIME
Requires Faber Piano Adventures Method, Technique and Performance books according to appropriate level. 30 minutes for Levels 1-3, 45 minutes for Levels 4 and up. $90 per month for 30 minute lesson, $120 per month for 45 minute lesson. Violin lessons also available.

Piano lessons will be held at the Center on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays between 1-5pm. As a fun way to end the year, all students are welcome to participate in and invite their families to an end of year piano recital I have each year for all my students. This is really an enjoyable time for the students to show what they've learned and for their families to get to watch them perform!

This is a year-long class! Get ready to learn some basic music notation, sight-reading, and singing a variety of warm-ups and songs! We will also learn about our singing voice as an instrument and how to use it properly to sing. There will be a winter choir concert for the families where students can perform the songs they learned (participation required).

I've taught private piano lessons for 25 years and worked as a music teacher at Cornerstone Christian School. I have experience in teaching multiple choirs and small ensembles over the years in the community and various churches. I'm excited to share my love of music with your kiddos!
