Schedule:
Monday - Science Lab - 127: 11:00 am - 11:50 am
Wednesday - Science Lab - 127: 11:00 am - 11:50 am
Description:
This is a CORE class that meets twice a week for the full year. Parents are required to attend the mandatory Core Parent Meeting immediately following Family Orientation on either August 24th at 2pm, August 24th at 6pm, September 7th at 2pm, or September 7th at 6pm.
This class is intended for high-school students who need to begin earning lab science credits. We will be using the Apologia Biology, 3rd Edition text. Apologia courses are designed to be self-directed learning, so students should be prepared to spend at least an hour each day studying the material.
The course is divided into a review session on Mondays and the accompanying lab on Wednesdays. The teacher's fee is for both the review and the lab. The review session is to hold students accountable for getting the work done in a timely manner as well as cover difficult concepts that students often have difficulty understanding.
Two weeks are being allotted for each module. Students are expected to keep up with the readings and come to lab prepared. This is a full-year course intended to help satisfy a student’s high school lab science credit requirements. Instructor will administer and correct tests and keep grade records.
Contact the instructor, Andrew Ringnalda, at android1961@gmail.com or DM on Slack with any questions.
