The Listening Prayer and Scripture Art class is a fun, engaging, and interactive art class that will help your little one get closer to Jesus! We will be praying in every class to ask Jesus to be with us while we create art and for Him to speak to us through His word! We will have a scripture verse each class that your student will be able to respond to through art. This will be a way that scripture can come to life for them. Think art journaling, but without having to write words (unless they want to/can). They will dive in and get an immersive experience for them to grow in their ability to pray (in talking to God and being still in the waiting for His response), and create fun art to bring it all together!
This class is in a Seedlings Co-op track. Each track consists of two classes (Block A and B). By registering for this class, your child will automatically be registered for both blocks. Parents are required to help in a class during one of the two blocks. YOU MUST REGISTER YOURSELF IN THE CLASS/BLOCK YOU WISH TO HELP IN. Helper spots are first come, first served. Sensory learners - This class is designed for kids who have unique struggles such as communication delays, learning delays, or other challenges that make a regular classroom setting difficult. Class will start with free play as kids are dropped off and then we will move on to a quick story and lesson where we will incorporate the 5 senses just to make it messier and more fun. We will learn letters, numbers, colors, work on writing, drawing & much more. We will also work on stretching our attention span, self control, cleaning up after ourselves, and having overall good classroom etiquette. I created this class because of my nonverbal son Aleksey whom I have to get creative with when it comes to learning and I thought as I’m teaching him why not include some friends. Join us for fun learning in a classroom setting designed exactly for your child. Aleksey and I will see you there. 😊
P.S. Please message me on slack about any specific struggles your child has as this will help me incorporate things to meet your child’s needs and ensure their success in class. Thank you!
This is a year-long class! Get ready to learn some basic music notation, sight-reading, and singing a variety of warm-ups and songs! There will be a choir concert Dec 18 where students can perform the songs they learned (participation required). About the teacher: My name is Anamaria Micu.
