Here is a snapshot: Our time will be spent each day with child led games in a nurturing environment that will build endurance, coordination, agility, speed, strength, good sportsmanship, & teamwork. I always take game suggestions from the kids too! Some favorites are dodgeball, basketball, pinball, capture the flag, spiderball, kickball, sharks, musical chairs, pickleball, four square, ultimate tag, and tug of war. Others will be designed with more new summertime competitions. Water balloon launching and monkey in the middle with water balloons are a crowd pleaser. As well as water balloon partner relays, and fastest time through an obstacle course on a team and individually is a favorite. On the last day, I will make a treasure hunt with a cool surprise at the end. On sunny days, squirt guns along with a parachute filled with water balloons! Lots of water breaks and snack time will be offered each day. Summertime is my favorite time of year to play! I hope you can join us! Love, Ms. Kristin

Tales of Virtue Ages 11yrs-14yrs Ginn-Forsberg, River Spring 2026 Theology
- Bible
Schedule: Tuesday - Classroom - 228: 11:00 am - 11:50 am
Description:Tales of Virtue What makes someone truly great? How does a person become brave, faithful, and good? In Tales of Virtue, students will enter the world of heroes—both biblical and historical—whose lives reveal the power of character. Through storytelling, discussion, and reflection, we’ll discover how courage is built through faith, how daily choices form lifelong habits, and how God shapes ordinary people for extraordinary purposes. Each week begins with a captivating story: from Daniel, who prayed daily and served faithfully under foreign kings, to Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, who stood his ground at Gettysburg, to John Quincy Adams, who fought against slavery even when his nation refused to listen, followed by guided conversation that helps students see how the same virtues can take root in their own lives. As Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” This class is an invitation to admire what is noble, to practice what is good, and to begin forming the habits of a faithful life. Students will learn that true heroism is not found in fame or power, but in steadfast love, daily courage, and devotion to the truth.
Requirements:Students should come with a spirit of curiosity and respect, ready to listen, think, and participate in meaningful conversations. Each week we will learn from the stories of real heroes who lived with courage, faith, and integrity. Students will need to bring a notebook, along with a pen and pencil, for writing and reflection during class.
