Description:Come and learn history in an engaging and fun environment! This history class will explore medieval history through story telling, geography/cartography, and a weekly craft project. Crafted for 2-6th graders, this class will engage the auditory, tactile, and visual learners and will make history memorable and fun. Olivia has 4 kids, ages 3-11 and has had fun homeschooling for the last 6 years - The Story of the World is a family favorite!
Requirements:Students should be able to listen to a 20 minute story while doing a tactile activity, have the dexterity to color and use scissors, be able to follow simple, step-by-step instructions, and be a participant in a group discussion by both listening and answering questions in turn. Reading is helpful but not an absolute requirement.

Description:This class focuses on growing friendships, play, love of stories, and Biblical lessons we can learn through it all. For example: Baby Wren and the Great Gift will teach kids that God has a special purpose for each of their lives. Petunia Beware teaches us that the grass may not actually be greener on the other side and how we can be thankful for what we have. The Night Gardener shows us the blessing of doing kind and beautiful things for others. Some books will teach the months of the year, seasons, and counting as well. We'll throw in some fun ones too, Dragons Love Tacos, Where the Wild Things Are, We Were Tired of Living in a House, and more! We will sing songs, do crafts and play games related to the books we read.

This year-long class covers ancient times and fall term includes discoveries from Pythagoras, Hippocrates, Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, Archimedes, and more. Students need not have a love of math or science to succeed in this class, but they should be eager to learn and ready to follow directions.

Each week a new story is presented as inspiration for creativity!

There will also be a fun Christmas project for gift-giving. Along with learning to develop creativity, students will be introduced to master artists from various historical periods and the Seven Elements of Art. This class is a good fit for children who love hands-on projects and can also listen well and follow instructions.

Description:This year-long studio class is for students who love art and would enjoy more time for projects. Some exposure to the Elements of Art would be helpful, but not required. Students will learn various techniques in drawing, painting, and printmaking. They will participate in group discussions about art and culture, meet guest artists, and participate in one field trip per semester.
