Sketchbooks are like journals, if you do art in them every day, they'll be a beautiful display of your progression. Our sketchbooks will help us explore and have fun with the different colors. We'll brainstorm in class what students would like to draw as well to get personal input. The supply fee will cover the sketchbook and all color mediums I will provide for the class including oils, watercolor, marker, colored pencil, and more! Some weeks I will assign students with homework - most weeks though, I will have them leave their sketchbooks in my art cupboard to avoid getting lost or forgotten. Slow stitching is a textile art. This is a mindful, creative and ancient practice of using needle and thread, ribbon, lace, buttons, paper, sequins, etc. to create art on fabric. It's a form of hand stitching that can involve a variety of techniques such as patchwork, embroidery and creating circles. This stitching differs from traditional stitching used for mending and making garments because the process is more important than the end result. But skills learned can be used for those things down the road. The goal is to be present and in the moment, listening to your creativity, and allowing your hands to flow across the fabric. This can be good for mental health, calming and focus.
This is a great class for both boys and girls to create art using recycled and untraditional mediums. Each child will get their own starter stitching kit to bring home once class is over. This will be a "go at your own pace" type of class. The students can take their time on one or multiple pieces over the 16 weeks.
Requirements:
Each child must be mature enough to follow directions and be very careful using sharp objects like scissors and needles.
Introduction of DC electricity, We will be learning components and how they work in the electrical circuit as well as learning to use a Volt-Ohm-Amp meter to measure components in the Snap Circuit kit. We will be building simple circuits to more advanced circuits.
Requirements:
Simple math (add, subtract, multiply, divide). If the student has a Snap Circuit SC-100, SC-300, SC500 set the ab supply fee will be waived.
Students must stay focused during the one hour of class time, NO DISRUPTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED OR THE STUDENT WILL BE ASK TO LEAVE
This indoor soccer class is designed to help your child learn and practice basic soccer skills + have many opportunities for scrimmage!
Mrs. Czerwien will be using Coach Jesse Haskins’ system from prior semesters. A variety of skill levels are welcome in this class. Please note, Futsal has some different rules compared to traditional soccer. Come check out the class to learn some new skills (while perhaps practicing some old)!

There are no requirements to take this class. Please let your child know that this will not be a "die-hard" soccer class.

We will be learning a variety of dances including line and folk dances! Whether you are beginner or you would like to build confidence in social dancing, this is the class for you!
An interactive home school adventure where young astronomers explore the planets and other objects of our solar system! This hands-on class brings deep space down to Earth by blending engaging, creative projects. Students will bring the night sky to life by building three-dimensional celestial models, staging orbit simulations, and mapping out the planets. We believe that when it is in the hand, it is in the head, so every lesson connects big astronomical concepts to physical, tactile activities that make learning stick. To celebrate their journey through the solar system, each child will create their very own custom set of astronomy booklet to take home at the end of the year, serving as a lasting tool.
(Optional) Weekly take home worksheets are given as an extension of class lessons.

In this class, students will learn how to solder safely while properly using and caring for soldering tools and equipment. They will become familiar with the essential tools needed for soldering, learn the purpose of each one, and practice proper techniques. Students will explore different types of solder, learn how to desolder and remove components from printed circuit boards (PCBs), and practice removing and replacing electronic components.
Students will begin with small practice projects to develop their skills and may advance to more challenging soldering projects as their confidence and abilities grow.
Safety glasses are required and must be worn at all times while soldering.

We will learn what equipment is needed to solder, and how to properly use each piece of equipment. We will explore different techniques, types of solder, how to remove soldered devices on PC boards, and practice removing components from a PC Board. Students will build small practice projects to learn on and can advance to more difficult soldering projects as they improve. WEARING OF SAFETY GLASSES IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHEN SOLDERING.
