Triple Play Sports will focus on basketball, dodgeball, and capture the flag. There will also be conditioning each class, including a warm up. We will cover individual skills and fundamentals, as well as teamwork, good sportsmanship, and games. Here is a breakdown of skills for each sport. Basketball we will dribble, pass, shoot, and learn offense/defense through drills, competitive fun games, and scrimmages. In dodgeball we will improve agility & balance, hand-eye coordination, while strengthen reflexes and muscles. Capture the flag is all about learning many strategies for winning the game with speed, defensive & offensive tactics, endurance, & agility. Other games include gladiator ball, pickleball, ultimate tag, four square, and tug of war. Our class is built to increase cardiovascular health, fosters social & emotional skills, strategic thinkers, and a bunch of fun!

My name is Summer St. John, I’m 23 years old, and have been learning American Sign Language for eleven years while teaching classes and private lessons. I am very passionate about the language and investing in the Deaf community. Students under eight years old may attend lessons with a parent. $30 per 50-minute lesson.
Tutoring Reading: The Barton Reading and Spelling program is an Orton Gillingham influenced tutoring system
for children, teenagers, or adults who struggle with spelling, reading, and writing due to dyslexia or a learning disability. Sessions will be 50-60 minutes twice or more weekly. I'm available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-2pm in person and Mondays and Wednesdays online only. I'm available for 1-4 students total each week. My fee is $35 per session.

Students must pass a screening prior to beginning sessions. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER until you have met with Lucinda, passed the screening, and signed a parent agreement.
I have 3 years of experience with Sucessful Learning Educational Services as a certified Barton reading tutor. I've also worked with the Barton program with The Learning House. I was a homeschool mom of three kids. My oldest daughter has Dyslexia, ADD and Asperger's Syndrome. She is now working as an Ultrasound Tech and owns her own home. If your child is struggling, it doesn't mean they can't succeed and even surpass what the "professionals" tell you. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a student grow academically and become more confident and content with themselves. I'd love to help!
