Description:Designed for students starting at a beginner level, this class will simultaneously focus on skills in keyboarding and word processing. Students will begin class by working their way through self-paced typing lessons, with a focus on typing by touch and increasing speed and accuracy. We'll also have some typing games, of course! Then we'll explore word documents and learn how we can utilize the tools and functions to create and enhance our assignments. In-class activities will include: creating images from text, formatting acrostic poems, and a typing relay race.
Requirements:No requirements, but access to a computer and keyboard at home may be helpful for extra practice.

Description:This class is a continuation of my typing course offered in the spring! Students will continue to build on their typing skills through self-paced lessons and engaging typing games. In addition to keyboarding practice, students will be introduced to Google Slides, where they'll learn how to create and design their own slideshow presentations. As we complete our projects, students will have the opportunity to showcase their work during group presentations, helping them develop confidence in public speaking.

Typing Through History Ages 7yrs-11yrs Shove, Christina Fall 2026 Computer Technology

Description:Step back in time while building modern computer skills! In Typing Through History, students will spend time exploring four fascinating periods: medieval Europe, Atlantic crossings to the New World, American colonial life, and the Oregon Trail. Utilizing typing lessons and Google Docs, students will develop keyboarding accuracy and confidence while investigating questions such as: What was the dinner etiquette for dining with a duke and duchess? What was daily life like for children in colonial America? What responsibilities would you have had on the Oregon Trail? Through engaging, history themed typing activities, students will strengthen both their understanding of the past and their ability to use technology effectively. Perfect for students who are just beginning to type and learning to use the computer as a tool for school.

Description:This class is a pointe technique ballet class that any student on pointe is encouraged to take in addition to their soft shoe ballet class. We will work on proper positioning, pointe endurance and technique as well as foot strength and conditioning. Students will be expected to be on pointe every week (twice a week) within the class and push themselves to develop their skills. We will begin with warmups and then set up stations throughout the room to work at different levels on given choreography.
Requirements:Must be approved by Alexa, Rene and Kaylah to be on pointe. Must also be registered in Ballet UL2 or UL3. One year of this class is required in order to move up into the Ballet UL3 class. Proper ballet attire is required: pink tights, leotard, ballet skirt, ballet slippers, and hair neatly secured in a bun.
