Let Him Shine is a dynamic, faith-centered class that builds confident public speaking and leadership skills. Through Toastmasters-style practice, high-energy improv games, and fun team activities, students learn to speak clearly, think on their feet, and lead with poise — all while giving Jesus the glory in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Every exercise points back to Him: whether sharing a prepared speech, improvising a story, or encouraging a peer, the goal is simple — Let Him Shine.
Requirements:
Public speaking grows through consistent practice. Please plan to attend every week if possible — regular participation is the #1 way students build confidence and strengthen our supportive community. Materials to Bring Each Week: 3-ring binder with paper and dividers (provided on Day 1 – included in class cost), pen/pencil, water bottle, Bible (any translation). Positive attitude, teachable spirit, and a smile. Homework (very light –10-15 minutes most weeks). Students under 12: weekly Speech Prep Sheet needs one quick parent signature. Prepare a short 1–3 minute speech or practice a quick improv activity. Parent Involvement: Save the date! At least one parent/guardian is asked to attend our Let Him Shine Showcase (grandparents, siblings, and friends are all welcome!). The Showcase will be in Week 16. We are thrilled to present a Christmas musical production - this will be a vibrant collaboration of theater, dance, and choir - written by our very own, Alexa Kehler! This heartwarming story follows a young boy grieving the loss of his father, a mother longing to rediscover joy, and a grandfather whose heart needs the transforming power of Jesus. As the boy and his mother begin serving in their church’s Christmas musical, the Lord begins to work in each of their lives - healing broken hearts, restoring hope, and drawing them closer to Him. Through a blend of engaging elements - skateboarding, fishing, hip-hop kings, and tap-dancing sheep - this story ultimately celebrates the redemptive love of Christ and the true meaning of Christmas. Families will be encouraged by its powerful message of salvation, renewal, and the joy found in knowing Jesus during performances on 12/5, 12/6, and 12/7 (tickets will be $12 each). The admin fee for this production class includes all administrative, class, and supply fees. Please see the class requirements for additional commitments. This class meets for a shortened term, ending with a class party on 12/12.

This class has additional required commitment dates; see the attached file for details. Students are required to practice and memorize lines and at home. They should be prepared to come to class to work on blocking, scene work, choreography, and cueing. Students are required to wear jazz shoes, modesty clothes (tank top/leotard and bike shorts), and an oversized button-up shirt (to protect costumes) for all dress rehearsals and shows. Costumes are provided with the admin fee however students will need to supply a show box with various materials such as makeup and accessories, see attached file for details. Parents are expected to volunteer at one show as well as throughout the course to support the success of the production (a sign-up genius link will be sent out with details). With the exception of volunteer times, this class is a DROP-OFF class with a NO CELL PHONE policy for all classes and rehearsals.

This class will operate as the behind-the-scenes team during the production and offer a unique experience that combines creativity, teamwork and hands-on skills.
The first half of the semester Crew will spend the majority of the time designing and building sets and props. The second half of the semester we plan to begin working in tandem with our actors, dancers, and the production choir, learning the more technical side of musical theater as well as backstage production planning.
All of our hard work will culminate in the excitement of the live performances - filled with plenty of opportunities for learning to stay calm under pressure, how to quickly adapt, while learning problem solving skills and effective communication with peers. Being a part of our crew team is so much more than executing an entertaining experience for audience members. We provide the opportunity for character growth that translates into each student's life "beyond the stage."

There may be an optional keepsake memory book, if we have a volunteer willing to create it. This is a fundraiser opportunity for the Theater Department and the books cost $40.

As part of the preparation, participants should be willing to learn and incorporate elements of ballet and lyrical dance to enhance the emotional depth and grace of the performance. This is a great opportunity for dancers to grow artistically while contributing to a holiday production. The admin fee for this production class includes all administrative, class, and supply fees. Let's learn all about our neighbors to the far south in South America! Each week will look at a different county in detail, learning about its history, people, and environment. Every student will be assigned a country to complete a report on and present on at the end of the term.
Requirements:
Students need to be able to read and write, (unassisted), at the middle school level, (6th grade and above).
In this class students will take turns reading aloud and sounding out words that we do not know yet. We will also be working on our sight words. We will read a book a week. Please see our reading list below:

In this class kids will learn how to make easy snacks as well as breakfast, lunch, and dessert items. They will learn kitchen safety and will practice good cleaning techniques. Our menu will include items such as: a parfait snack, scrambled eggs, grilled cheese, and a berry smoothie. Class time will include food prep and cleanup.

Description:
Join us for a joyful, Christ-centered preschool class designed to help little ones discover God's love through Bible stories, worship, hands-on activities, crafts, music, movement, and play. Each week, children will explore a different Bible lesson and character trait while learning that they are wonderfully made, deeply loved, and created for a purpose.
Through engaging stories, simple memory verses, songs, games, and creative projects, children will develop a foundation of faith while building friendships, listening skills, kindness, and confidence. Parents can expect a warm, nurturing environment where young learners are encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus and delight in God's creation.
Requirements:
A water bottle labeled with child's name. Must take them to the restroom before class begins. Must have slack turned on and respond quickly for your child's needs during class time.
