We will be dancing with props such as long skirts, sheets of fabric, ribbons and scarves. Level three students will get opportunities to explore working on their own choreography as well as on a shadow dance project. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Students are encouraged to take a strength and conditioning class as well. We recommend Ballet Strength and Technique, Ladies Cardio, Weights, Fun, and Done, or a Teen Fitness class.

Requires previous Lyrical 2 and teacher approval or audition. This class will be performing in the Spring Dance Shows the week of May 15-20. We are still working on our plans for the spring show, but please reserve that week now on your calendar. Our format will most likely be similar to our last spring show, with our youngest students performing in two of the four shows. Details will be related in full at our mandatory parent meeting to be held at 7pm on Monday, February 27th. Parental attendance to this meeting is essential in order to ensure clarity of information and the success of your dancer. Each family is required to have one parent volunteer to help in some way with the show. (We are adjusting some things that should enable students to invite more family and friends to enjoy the event. We are considering all young student and level one classes to be split among the performances, but also to offer more performances that will allow better viewing opportunities and parking.) Lyrical Upper Level 2 (Previously Lyrical Teen 2) - Add to your lyrical skills and join this exciting class where we join the techniques of ballet, jazz and modern dance to convey emotion in story-telling. We will use many styles of music to learn thematic elements while we also improve our grace and technique. Props such as ribbons, scarves and fabrics may be used.

Lyrical Contemporary Upper Level 3 - (Previously Advanced Lyrical & Contemporary) Step into a deeper level of artistry with our advanced lyrical and contemporary class. This year-long program is designed for experienced dancers ready to refine their technique while exploring dance as a powerful form of emotional and artistic expression.
Dancers will learn to interpret movement with intention—telling stories and conveying emotions through style, flow, and musicality. The class encourages versatility, helping students embody a wide range of movement qualities and emotional tones.
Training will focus on spatial and body awareness, floor work, proper alignment, efficient muscle use, and dynamic movement. We’ll also explore the expressive use of body weight and breath. Students will have opportunities to choreograph and contribute creatively to class performances.
Proper dance attire is required, along with ballet or lyrical shoes. Hair should be pulled back from the face, and dancers should bring a labeled water bottle to each class.
