Preschool geared class time! We will engage and learn skills that lay the foundation to be lifelong learners. We will have opportunities to develop physical, fine and gross motor skills with many different activities. Using their hands to explore materials like, paint, play dough, puzzles, sand as well as things to write with. We will work with children on respecting others and working together. Children build there social skills and self control. With my support children learn to resolve conflicts that come up during play. Emotional development in class will help your child recognize and manage their own feelings and behaviors. We will also practice showing concern for others and cultivating empathy. I will provide materials to use and time to explore them. Please send a healthy large snack and a full water bottle with your child's name labeled on it. Please dress them in clothing that can get messy or stained. If there are young please have extra clothes.

Come play with us! A fun child led free play class!
We will have creative sensory stations set up for exploratory play each week to support each child's interests. This will encourage fine gross motor skills, social play interactions and improve hand eye coordination. Sensory stations will have non toxic sand, colorful rice, beans, fabrics, organic homemade play dough, woah dough & fun nature pieces my kids will collect and bring in for cutting and creative art. We will also start each class with show & tell! Each week we will have an art craft which kids are welcome to participate in but if social and sensory play is more appealing they are welcome stay playing and creating together. :)
Montessori has the ultimate scientifically-based way to address child development. As a Paraprofessional Educator for Battle Ground School District in the special needs area I have learned the importance of creative free play for kids. As a homeschooling Mama myself, my two children and I utilize the Montessori approach and we all love it!

This facilitates cognitive development and encourages social skills such as taking turns, cooperation, reciprocal language skills, sharing and empathy. Groovin Storytime for kids will encourage age appropriate movement and stories that help strengthen fine motor and gross motor skills while expanding our language skills. In this program, we will introduce stories and body movement in a very fun, loving and professional environment. We will work on skills such as rhythm, coordination, self confidence, discipline and structure. In addition we will also work on social skills like taking turns, making friends, teamwork and listening skills. We will use body actions to communicate an image (leaf falling) , communicate a journey (seeds growing into plants reaching for the sun) or communicate feelings such as strength and joy. Sensory learners - This class is designed for kids who have unique struggles such as communication delays, learning delays, or other challenges that make a regular classroom setting difficult. Class will start with free play as kids are dropped off and then we will move on to a quick story and lesson where we will incorporate the 5 senses just to make it messier and more fun. We will learn letters, numbers, colors, work on writing, drawing & much more. We will also work on stretching our attention span, self control, cleaning up after ourselves, and having overall good classroom etiquette. I created this class because of my nonverbal son Aleksey whom I have to get creative with when it comes to learning and I thought as I’m teaching him why not include some friends. Join us for fun learning in a classroom setting designed exactly for your child. Aleksey and I will see you there. 😊
