Description:In this class, we will learn about theater from the crew perspective, and go over numerous things you need to know in the different positions on crew. We will have you put on and take off mics, set and strike a scene, etc. This class will meet Fridays, from 2-3pm, right before show rehearsals. There will be 4-6 class times (times TBD) where crew will need to stay until 5 to rehearse with the cast to prep for the show. Our show is tentatively May 10 and 11.

Fairytales and Tutus C Ages 3yrs-7yrs Hill, Abigail Fall 2024 Dance

Description:Fairytales and Tutus is a creative ballet class for children, incorporating favorite children’s stories, various costumes, colorful props, and the enjoyment of make-believe! We have several new stories this semester and each week a new story will come to life through ballet instruction, creative movement, dancing games, colorful costumes, and plenty of imagination! Children will learn ballet basics and incorporate that technique in a dance as a character in our weekly story that they will perform for the parents at the end of each class. **Students will be performing in two performances for our Nutcracker presentation (December 5th-8th) as well as the Spring Dance Show “Moses and The God Who Delivers” (May 15th-18th). This Class will be in Show B. PLEASE READ our syllabus containing more details about the shows and pertinent dance class information is located here on our website. Each semester’s Admin fee includes the show costume rental fee. **Parents may choose to have their student opt out of performing, but will need to communicate that with the teacher by October 1st. Description:Lyrical Upper Level 1 (Previously Lyrical 1 Teen) - Students will learn to dance with expression and artistry, using differing emotions and styles of music. Previous dance experience is required. Students need to have taken a class such as ballet, tap or hip hop jazz for at least one year. Student’s basic dance skills will be strengthened and they will be stretched to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props including scarves or ribbons. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes and their hair pulled back away from their face. This is a yearlong class and students will be performing in two performances for our Spring Dance Show “For Such A Time As This” . Dress Rehearsal and Shows are April 23-26. This Class will be in Show B. PLEASE READ our syllabus containing more details about the shows and pertinent dance class information is located here in the class files and on our website. Click on Programs - Dance. Mandatory new parent meeting over Zoom at 7pm September 15th. Spring semester’s Admin fee includes the $25 show costume rental fee. Description:Tap Upper Level 2 - Eager to step up your tap game? This advanced tap class is designed for dancers with prior experience who are ready to push themselves further in strength, precision, and performance quality. Students will push the boundaries of their technique and musicality through dynamic combinations, technical steps, and of course, choreography. Over the course of the year we will also explore different styles and techniques introduced by the great tap influences of the 20th and 21st centuries. This is a yearlong class and students will be performing in two performances for our Spring Dance Show “For Such A Time As This” . Dress Rehearsal and Shows are April 23-26. Description:We will be reading Big Thoughts For Little People ( ABC's to help you grow). Each week we will teach two letters along with learning biblical concepts from the book. This will be paired with a fun craft for each letter. Then this will be followed with making letters out of noodles, play dough, Legos ect. At the end of the semester your child will get to take home their completed letter book! This class is in a Seedlings Co-op track. Each track consists of two classes (Block A and B). By registering for this class, your child will automatically be registered for both blocks. Parents are required to help in a class during one of the two blocks. YOU MUST REGISTER YOURSELF IN THE CLASS/BLOCK YOU WISH TO HELP IN. Helper spots are first come, first served.
