We will focus on skills needed for character work, an element essential to dynamic improvised scenes. Actors will explore creating their characters through both internal motivations (point of view, status, wants and intentions) and external motivations (like experimenting with physicality). Actors learn how to make choices in scenes that help define their character. We will complete active exercises that explore different ways to create and sustain characters in a scene. We will also continue to hone the skills necessary for doing strong scene work and building ensemble. Additional outside workshops and performance/competition opportunities may be available throughout the year at an additional cost.
