Fairytales and Tutus is a creative ballet class for children, incorporating favorite children’s stories, enchanting costumes, colorful props, and the magic of make-believe!
Each week, a new story will come to life though ballet instruction, creative movement, dancing games, colorful costumes, and plenty of imagination! Children will learn ballet basics and incorporate that technique as a character in our weekly story!
Dancers will walk gracefully through a castle, use balance while leaping over a river, and practice coordination while skipping through the forest.

Join us as and have fun as we groove to contemporary Christian music and learn a mix of hip hop and jazz. Dance moves will always be conservative. Students should come to class wearing shoes and clothes easy to dance in. Jazz shoes may be worn but are not necessary. Students in this class will be performing in our wonderful Spring Dance Show that is focused on the life of Christ. This class will be performing in the Spring Dance Shows the week of May 16-22, final dates TBD. Details will be provided in full at our mandatory parent meeting to be held at 7pm on Monday, February 28th. (We are adjusting some things that should enable students to invite more family and friends to enjoy the event. We are considering all young student and level one classes to be split among the performances, but also to offer more performances that will allow better viewing opportunities and parking.) Parental attendance to this meeting is mandatory in order to ensure clarity of information and the success of your dancer’s performance. Please read the updated class syllabus that is pinned to your class channel. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due at Spring registration. (Estimated $25 to rent.) Wear clothes and shoes easy to dance in. Have you ever wanted to learn some cool moves and to dance with a fun group? Then join us as we groove to contemporary Christian hip hop music while learning a mix of hip hop and jazz dance. Dance moves will always be conservative and may include props, tumbling, and/or special light effects. Students should come to class wearing shoes and clothes easy to dance in. Jazz shoes may be worn but are not necessary. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Student needs to have taken a class such as lyrical, ballet, dance arts, tap or hip hop jazz. Student’s basic dance skills will be strengthened and they will be stretched to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props including scarves or ribbons. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. Dancers will have the opportunity to share a dance at our Winter Showcase (December 6th/7th) and our Spring Dance Show. Students will build on their artisitc skills and emotion that they learned in the Lyrical Level 2 Class. Student’s dance skills will be strengthened as they will continue to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props such as long skirts, sheets of fabric, ribbons and scarves. Level three students will get opportunities to explore working on their own choreography as well as on a shadow dance project. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share a dance at our Winter Showcase (December 6th/7th) and our Spring Dance Show. Student’s dance skills will be strengthened and they will be stretched to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props including ribbons and scarves. Level two students will get opportunities to explore working on their own choreography in small groups as well as working on dancing with emotion. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes and ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to take a dance performance idea or theme and turn it into reality. In this class we will discuss song/music style and choice, dance styles, how to plan out group forms and contrasting movements, how to write your choreography down so you can remember it, props or no props… Students will come up with their own theme and develop a small group dance project throughout the first half of the semester. During the second half of the semester, they will be coached on how to instruct their classmates in order to perform their piece by the END of the semester at our own showcase night. Students may continue to satisfy their creative bent by taking Choreography 102 second semester. During this second semester students will work singly or with a group to come up with a project for a large dance group that will perform their piece in the Spring Show. Bring a notebook and a pencil or pen and access to music for your project. (Students may use their cell phone or device in class for their music.) Wear dance attire and ballet, jazz or lyrical shoes. Students will be expected to follow the course syllabus and complete each weekly activity in order to be able to produce their projects at the end of the semester. Previous dance experience is required. Student must have taken a minimum of one year of a level two class or get the teacher’s approval.
