I am a homeschooling mom with a Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to having children, I worked for 9 years in the college environment coaching college students and prospective college students on career topics, strengths development, and leadership. I am excited to bring this experience to homeschooled high school students to help them pave a successful path to college, career, and beyond! Parents are also welcome to participate in their students' coaching sessions. Sessions are $75 with a $10 materials fee for the Strong Interest Inventory career assessment.

Students will learn to dance with expression and artistry, using differing emotions and styles of music. Previous dance experience is required. Student needs to have taken a class such as lyrical, ballet, dance arts, tap or hip hop jazz. Student’s basic dance skills will be strengthened and they will be stretched to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props including scarves or ribbons. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. Dancers will have the opportunity to share a dance at our Winter Showcase (December 6th/7th) and our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due at Spring registration. (Estimated $25 to rent.) Wear dance attire and shoes. Students are encouraged to stretch and practice what they learn in class at home a few minutes each day.

My goal for this class is to have FUN with the alphabet! We will be focusing on letter and sound recognition. We will regularly sing a letter sound song that is sure to get stuck in their head, and make some fun crafts for each letter that will help jog their memory on the sound it makes. Toss in some fun alphabet books and recognition games and we are all set to have some PHonics PHun!
This is a year long class.
PART ONE will be focusing on the first 13 letters along with beginning to learn what the vowels are.
Kids that will fit well with this class enjoy crafting and either don’t know their letters/sounds, or need more help remembering them.
