“Faith. Fun. And probably too many snacks.”
Welcome to the chaos (the good kind)! Middle School Youth Group is where games get loud, snacks disappear fast, and faith starts to make sense in real life. We’ll talk about real stuff—friends, stress, purpose—and learn how God fits into it all. Expect laughter, surprises, and a group that feels more like a team than a class. Come ready to play hard, think deep, and probably get a little messy (in the best way).
A mock trial is simply a pretend trial. After learning basic information about the U.S. judicial system, a young person will participate in a trial in which he/she will act as the judge, attorney, witness, bailiff and/or member of the jury. Homeschool Court provides an easy-to-use Christian curriculum where students will become well-informed American citizens who understand our judicial system in depth. All Homeschool Court materials seek to glorify our Savior and draw young people closer to Him by understanding our country's Biblical foundation. The emphasis on logic, writing and legal concepts will strengthen gifts He has given each individual student.
Unlike mock trial competitions, this curriculum is designed to be non-competitve and conducted in a relaxed learning environment.
Students will receive a certificate of completion.
We will be delving into the ever-evolving world of nutrition and wellness. We'll start with a little history of our ancestors' diets and lifestyles, learn some basic anatomy and physiology, and then dive into culinary wellness. We will learn about modern nutrition and why it's so important for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We will learn about bio-individuality and the importance of listening to our bodies. We will discuss basic kitchen skills and learn how to make a few delicious, easy recipes! This is a year-long class.
About an hour of homework each week.
