This is a CORE class that meets twice a week for the full year. Parents are required to attend the mandatory Core Parent Meeting immediately following Family Orientation on either August 24th at 2pm, August 24th at 6pm, September 7th at 2pm, or September 7th at 6pm.
Year 2 continues on the foundation built in year 1. Students will review and expand on verb conjugations, especially irregular forms learned in the first year. The focus in year 2 will be on the past tense and expanding vocabulary for conversations. Class time will cover the book lessons and practice speaking and listening so attendance is vital. Additionally, fun activities will be used to make class lively and anchor lessons.
Requirements:
Basic understanding of Spanish verb conjugation and beginning conversation skills is required. One year of Spanish is ideal. Native speakers are welcome to study the grammar. Required materials: ABEKA Spanish 1B (Por Todo El Mundo B) student books and Vocabulary manual.
In this class students will learn how to converse in Spanish fluently. We will meet once a week and students will be paired up with someone on their same Spanish comprehension level. Every week we will have different topics to speak about and there will be some Spanish games thrown in the mix as well. There will be no English speaking in this class and you must have taken at least one Spanish class prior to enrolling.

We will play spelling games, have spelling team competitions and the last day of class we will have a Spelling Bee with prizes for the top 3 spellers.

Let's learn more about our beautiful USA!!! In this class we will look in depth at each region of our states with the goal of learning about all of the 50 states. We will also work on memorizing the states locations and capitals as will as some US History. Each student will be assigned a state that they will do an in-depth report on and put together a table display for our States Fair on the last day of class in our room.
Requirements:
Reading at fourth grade level, ability to write a paragraph, (typed is fine), and the willingness to do work outside the class time.

STEM SCIENTISTS is a "Hands-On" class for 7-11 year olds. Students will learn new concepts every week and perform SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS that reinforce that concept, to take home. Our classes will include Science, Chemistry, Physics & Engineering. NOTE: This is a repeat of “New STEM Scientists” from fall semester.

Parents need to notify the teacher through Slack if their child will be absent so an experiment can be set aside for that student. Parent help in class is always appreciated.
Stewardship is a personal finance curriculum taught from a biblical perspective. With Math-U-See's Steve Demme’s signature humility, humor, and sharp math skills, practical math instruction is combined with Biblical principles of finance and discipleship material. This edition is updated with current topics relevant to young people aged 15 and older, who are beginning to explore more independent financial opportunities and responsibilities. All books are included in the materials fee. This class will count for 1 Math Credit and 1 Bible Credit.
Discover the art of digital animation through stop motion filmmaking! Students will work in teams to collaborate, share ideas, create, and edit their own stop motion films. They'll discover how to create smooth movement, add sound effects and music, plan effective scenes, and clearly communicate a message through stop motion animation. Projects may include commercials, how-to videos, bible scene recreations, and other creative challenges. The course will culminate with class film screenings where students can share their creations, celebrate one another's work, and view their films on the projector screen!
Requirements:
Teamwork is highly emphasized in this class, so students must be able to work with a partner and/or group. The supply fee will cover shared tablets for students, stop motion software purchase, and various props/materials.
