Description:
Welcome to Tap 2! In this class we will build off the foundation we learned in Tap 1. We will learn more about rhythm, syncopation, and sound. Students are required to wear dance/loose attire, have tap shoes and are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them to class. This is a yearlong class and students will be performing in the Spring Dance Show. This is a year-long program and requires a full-year commitment. This class will be performing in one of our Christmas Shows the weekend of December 10-12 and in our Spring Dance Recital May 20-23. More details to come. Please read our Dance Department Syllabus that is attached to this class for more pertinent class and department information. A $25 costume fee will be included in the Spring Semester’s Admin Fee.
Requirements:
Completion of Tap 1 or some Tap experience. Students are required to wear dance/loose attire, have tap shoes and are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them to class.

Students are required to wear dance/loose attire, have tap shoes and are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them to class. This is a yearlong class, and students will be performing in the Spring Dance Show May. This is a yearlong class and students will be performing in two performances for our Spring Dance Show “For Such A Time As This” . Dress Rehearsal and Shows are April 23-26. Click on Programs - Dance. Mandatory new parent meeting over Zoom at 7pm September 15th. Spring semester’s Admin fee includes the $25 show costume rental fee. Students will push the boundaries of their technique and musicality through dynamic combinations, technical steps, and of course, choreography. Over the course of the year we will also explore different styles and techniques introduced by the great tap influences of the 20th and 21st centuries.
