Description:
This class offers an introduction into the world of rhythm and sound. Come make a joyful noise as we will learn the foundational steps that are the building blocks to fast, beautiful tapping.
This is a year-long program and requires a full-year commitment. This class will be performing in one of our Christmas Shows the weekend of December 10-12 and in our Spring Dance Recital May 20-23. More details to come. Please read our Dance Department Syllabus that is attached to this class for more pertinent class and department information. A $25 costume fee will be included in the Spring Semester’s Admin Fee.
Requirements:
No previous dance experience required. Students are required to wear dance/loose attire, have tap shoes, and bring a water bottle with them to class.

Tap Upper Level 2 - Eager to step up your tap game? This advanced tap class is designed for dancers with prior experience who are ready to push themselves further in strength, precision, and performance quality. Students will push the boundaries of their technique and musicality through dynamic combinations, technical steps, and of course, choreography. Over the course of the year we will also explore different styles and techniques introduced by the great tap influences of the 20th and 21st centuries.
