Thursday - Dance Studio A - 116: 3:30 pm - 4:50 pm
Description:
This class is designed for students who have completed Ballet 4 and are also enrolled in dance conditioning, strength and technique or a fitness class, if necessary for scheduling. Our focus will be on intermediate pointe work and building endurance, further developing the muscles needed to dance on pointe.
Dancing on pointe requires proper spine alignment, turnout from the hips, strong ankles, correct foot-pointing technique, and good balance. We will frequently discuss and concentrate on these aspects of pointe technique. Our goal for the year is to increase strength, enabling students to perform longer and more proficiently in pointe shoes.
This is a year-long commitment, and students are expected to attend for the entire duration. Ballet attire is mandatory: pink tights, a leotard, ballet slippers, and pointe shoes. Hair should be neatly pulled back into a bun.
Join us for a year of growth and mastery in your pointe shoes.
