This class will cover the founding documents that form the basis for the US government and its structure (Articles of Confederation, Declaration of Independence, US Constitution) and the writings of the men who wrote these documents (Federalist Papers and Anti-Federalist Papers).
Students will need to create a free account with Hillsdale College Online. We will be using several of their online courses as the basis for this year-long civics course: Intro to the Constitution, Constitution 101, Constitution 201, Federalist Papers, Presidency and the Constitution, US Supreme Court, Congress: How it Works and Why It Doesn’t, Public Policy from a Constitutional Viewpoint, Civil Rights in American History, American Citizenship and Its Decline.
Students should expect to spend about 1 hour each school day studying for this course. Instructor will administer and correct tests and keep grade records.
Welcome to The Great Homeschool Bake-Off, an exciting culinary adventure where young bakers turn the kitchen into a classroom! In this high-energy program, students will learn and practice fundamental baking techniques, explore the delicious science of ingredients, and work in dynamic teams to create delicious treats. Every session is bursting with fun, friendly competition, and laughter as students practice collaboration and develop friendships while kneading dough and frosting masterpieces. Our bakers spend every class measuring, mixing, and creating to practice their new skills. To celebrate their culinary achievements, each student will create their own set of recipe cards to take home at the end of the year, perfect for continuing their kitchen adventures!

Horse crazy? Ready to use this interest to spur investigation, exploration, and creativity? We will cover equestrian sports, anatomy, showing, careers, breeds, horse behavior, care and much more. We will do fun art projects, find a favorite horse book, do a few short writing projects, hands on time with tack, and use videos to explore the world of horses. Giddy up! The supply fee includes a book for the student's writing assignments.
Students will have an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom at the end of the term (additional cost will apply) for an experience that will include riding and grooming in a group setting. Date TBD.

A calm classroom environment is created with children in mind. Using a multi table setup children sculpt at one table with three more provided for further exploring.

Art is about the process of creating, not about the product that comes from the creating. When young children are given the opportunity to discover, explore and make mistakes, unique and creative artwork will flow. They learn to think creatively when allowed the freedom to express themselves through art. Process art also strengthens fine motor skills, critical thinking, and spatial intelligence. It is also a lot of fun!
Welcome to The Puppetry Workshop, a highly creative class where imagination takes center stage! In this dynamic program, children will dive into the exciting world of theater by learning puppetry techniques and creating their own unique puppet characters.
Throughout the semester, students will explore performance activities such as improvisational storytelling, voice and character-development exercises, and collaborative stage play. By the end of the course, each student will take home their very own handmade puppet and the skills to bring it to life on stage.

Come and learn history in an engaging and fun environment! This history class will explore ancient history through storytelling, geography/cartography, and a weekly craft project. Crafted for 2nd-5th grade, this class will engage auditory, tactile, and visual learners and will make history memorable and fun. Olivia has 4 kids, ages 2-10, and has had fun homeschooling for the last 5 years - The Story of the World is a family favorite!

This is a class where learning and play go hand in hand. Children are naturally curious and imaginative, eager to explore the world around them. In The Wonder Workshop, we encourage that curiosity through exploration-based, imaginative learning. Each class includes circle time, songs, stories, art, and playful engagement in our themed centers, like play kitchen, grocery store, ice cream shop, and more. Children will role-play, problem solve, and choose activities that interest them - encouraging independence, curiosity, and creativity. A snack will be provided, giving students the opportunity to enjoy food with one another, practice conversation, and table manners. Throughout the class, children develop early literacy and math skills, social-emotional skills, and creativity. They are encouraged to explore, imagine, and take joy in learning, while gently learning to work with peers and build confidence in themselves. Join us and let your child's imagination and curiosity come alive!
Requirements:
Children should be able to separate from a caregiver and follow simple directions in a small group setting. Parent or guardian must be available on Slack for bathroom breaks or diaper changes, and children need to be taken to restroom before class starts. A snack will be provided, please let me know of any allergies.
It can be hard to navigate the world today with all kinds of messages coming at us. It's even harder for our kids. In this class the students will learn what is Biblical truth and how to sift through what the World tells is is truth or good to see what is evil and what God really wants for us. We will be using Foundation Worldview curriculum on Biblical Worldview which will include a 10-15 min video lesson, followed by a discussion, and class activity.
