Discipling our littles to follow Jesus is one of the most important things we could ever do! Join me as we learn more about who Jesus is and how He came to save us. We will be using the curriculum from truth 78 called 'Jesus, What a Savior!'. During each class will we participate in a circle time together singing songs about Jesus and memorizing a verse. We will then dive into our Bible lesson and correlating craft. My hope is that your little falls more in love with Jesus as they learn what a Savior he truly is!
Requirements:
Must be able to sit thorough a 10-15 min circle time, safely use glue and scissors and be able to stay with me in the classroom for 50 minutes.

113 years ago, the most famous shipwreck happened when the R.M.S. Titanic struck an iceberg and sank. Step back in time, as we will be exploring the history of the Titanic and the discovery of the shipwreck 73 years after the tragedy occurred. This class will involve reading, writing, and artwork. We will be reading Titanic: Lost and Found by Judy Donnelly, and Finding the Titanic by Robert Ballard. Join us as we build 3D dioramas, create newspapers set back in 1912, write personal journals as passengers, stamp passports and more!
This class is designed to improve coordination, balance, strength, rhythm and cognitive skills. This will help build and improve hand eye coordination and eye tracking for reading readiness. Basic Gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands and back bends will be things we work towards. Spending time on strength building and flexibility as well as balance. In a small portion of the class we will work with movement to music with props like balls, hoops, bean bags and scarves. Music time with be accompanied with bells, maracas, drums and egg shakers creating different rhythms and beats. We will play fun games, create obstacle courses and student will learn helpful life skills. Opportunities to practice taking turns all while enjoying friendship, movement and laughter together.
Learn how to create bold, beautiful paintings through the medium of acrylic! In this foundational painting class for teens AND adults, we will use acrylics to uncover the intentional and fundamentally important building blocks that make a successful painting. By applying elements of art and principles of design to painting exercises and projects, students will explore the nature of the acrylic medium, gain confidence in technical paint application, be introduced to color theory, and peer through the lens from which artists are able to uniquely see the world. I will draw from my experience as a professional artist of 24 years to demonstrate painting techniques and meet students at their individual skill levels with positive encouragement, technical support and enthusiasm for this traditional art form. Experience the joy and contemplative practice of observational painting through the creation of original pieces focused on landscape, sky, water, and still life. This course is not just for teens! In this class, kids will discover that God is in everything. We'll explore nature and science topics like flowers, trees, insects, seasons and more (each connected to scripture.) Every week includes educational stories, art, hands on activities, and a scrapbook page to document what they've learned. Children will get a treasure box to collect nature finds and bring back stories to share. At the end of the term they'll take home a beautiful keepsake scrapbook full of their discoveries, artwork, and faith filled memories.
Requirements:
-Must be able to use basic craft supplies (like glue stick, scissors, crayons etc..) with minimal help
-Must be comfortable sitting for short group lessons (5-10 minutes)
-Ready to listen, share and participate in hands on activities
-Potty trained
Reluctant readers & bookworms alike can't wait to grab their journals & special backpacks (included) to Time-Travel back to the Middle Ages and more thru 8 of the Magic Treehouse books.
15 minutes of each class students will take notes or draw in their journals as they listen to the story, as well as mark their world maps and create a historical timeline.
Each week we will highlight different aspects of literature like main characters, story setting, plot…etc. By the end of the term, kids will have authored their very own "book". Kids will enjoy unique crafts & relevant projects based on the themes from each MTH book like: clay medallions, sea shell bottles, Japanese cherry tree paintings, a real rainforest jar...and lots more.
Bonus: Kids will also design & build their own treehouses to create a class “Forest of Treehouses” exhibit for the whole school to visit.

Requirements:
Kids are NOT required to read or write for this class, although there are plenty of opportunities for kids who are ready for that. You do NOT need to own/supply the MTH books for your child, but it would be great if they had their copy too.
Students are expected to be kind and respectful to the teacher and fellow classmates. Students should be ready to follow 3-step directions.
Kids will typically have 1 take home project each month.
