Triple Play Sports will focus on basketball, dodgeball, and capture the flag. There will also be conditioning each class, including a warm up. We will cover individual skills and fundamentals, as well as teamwork, good sportsmanship, and games. Here is a breakdown of skills for each sport. Basketball we will dribble, pass, shoot, and learn offense/defense through drills, competitive fun games, and scrimmages. In dodgeball we will improve agility & balance, hand-eye coordination, while strengthen reflexes and muscles. Capture the flag is all about learning many strategies for winning the game with speed, defensive & offensive tactics, endurance, & agility. There is another similar game called gladiator ball we will change out from time to time with capture the flag, except it is played with dodgeballs. Many students have shown an interested in pickleball. I am excited to be offering this sport as well. Our class is built to increase cardiovascular health, fosters social & emotional skills, strategic thinkers, and a bunch of fun!

Designed for students starting at a beginner level, this class will simultaneously focus on skills in keyboarding and word processing. Students will begin class by working their way through self-paced typing lessons, with a focus on typing by touch and increasing speed and accuracy. We'll also have some typing games, of course! Then we'll explore word documents and learn how we can utilize the tools and functions to create and enhance our assignments. In-class activities will include: creating images from text, formatting acrostic poems, and a typing relay race.
Requirements:
No requirements, but access to a computer and keyboard at home may be helpful for extra practice.

This class is a continuation of my typing course offered in the spring! Students will continue to build on their typing skills through self-paced lessons and engaging typing games. In addition to keyboarding practice, students will be introduced to Google Slides, where they'll learn how to create and design their own slideshow presentations. As we complete our projects, students will have the opportunity to showcase their work during group presentations, helping them develop confidence in public speaking.

Completion of the Typing I course, or beginner level typing skills.
