Designed for students starting at a beginner level, this class will simultaneously focus on skills in keyboarding and word processing. Students will begin class by working their way through self-paced typing lessons, with a focus on typing by touch and increasing speed and accuracy. We'll also have some typing games, of course! Then we'll explore word documents and learn how we can utilize the tools and functions to create and enhance our assignments. In-class activities will include: creating images from text, formatting acrostic poems, and a typing relay race.
Requirements:
No requirements, but access to a computer and keyboard at home may be helpful for extra practice.

This class is a continuation of my typing course offered in the spring! Students will continue to build on their typing skills through self-paced lessons and engaging typing games. In addition to keyboarding practice, students will be introduced to Google Slides, where they'll learn how to create and design their own slideshow presentations. As we complete our projects, students will have the opportunity to showcase their work during group presentations, helping them develop confidence in public speaking.
Requirements:
Completion of the Typing I course, or beginner level typing skills.
