Students will study and investigate history through the lens of art. How did art genres respond to or become influenced by the social, political, and environmental climate of the day? What were the governing bodies of the time, what was civilization like, what have we pieced together from archeological discoveries and how do all of these events and people correspond with a biblical timeline?
*************New students may join and will receive ½ History credit for their academic transcript. Spring term will begin with the latter half of the Classical Antiquity period beginning with the Romanesque & Gothic genres.

****Materials: Purchase the Master and His Apprentices text book ($35 e-book) Students will supply a dedicated three ring binder (1 ½ - 2”) with topic dividers to keep their handouts, textbook and assignments organized. ****Time Management: There will be approximately 2.5 hours of homework per week on average (30 minutes/day), including time spent on Midterm and Final projects. ****Access to a computer and printer, as well as the ability to access Google Scholar and/or peer reviewed library text for generating research to complete assignments is necessary. • Supply & teacher payments are due January 9th. Families must respond to Groupzu invoices by this deadline to keep their standing in the class.
In this class we will explore different historical figures. Students will lapbook what they learn about each person we study. We will use books as well as videos and audio recordings as we discuss each figure. Students will also work on their own presentation of a historical figure that they study on their own. They will be given the chance to present to the class their findings - highlighting what the person was known for or contribution, their early life and education, and other information that the student finds interesting to share.

Get ready to explore the wonders of the changing seasons! Toddlers and preschoolers will journey from snowy days to blooming gardens through hands-on play, art, music, and sensory discovery. During our winter weeks, we'll explore all things frosty and fun. Through literacy, fine motor, and sensory activities like "Penguin Ice Skating", "Winter Discovery Bottles", and "Puffy Paint Snowmen", children will strengthen early learning skills while celebrating the wonder of winter. As the season begins to thaw, we'll welcome spring with garden-inspired play! Little explorers will make Playdough Flowers, paint rainbows, and make Flower Petal Suncatchers while learning about growth, colors, and new life. Themed stories, songs, and playful activities will invite curiosity, creativity, and connection to nature. Join us for a joyful season of discovery as we explore the beauty of winter's sparkle and spring's bloom!
Requirements:
Children should be able to separate from a caregiver and follow simple directions in a small group setting. Parent or guardian must be available on Slack for bathroom breaks or diaper changes, and children need to be taken to restroom before class starts. A snack will be provided, please let me know of any allergies.
This spring we will be studying Mama Bear Apologetics by Hillary Morgan Ferrer. This mom-to-moms guide will equip you to teach your kids how to form their own Biblical beliefs about what is true and what is false. Through transparent life stories and clear, practical applications, including prayer strategies, this band of Mama Bears offers you tools to train yourself so you can turn around and train your kids.

This fall we will be studying the book of Habbakkuk, one of the minor prophet books in the Old Testament. Books will be around $10 and available the first week. There is a Kids Care class that meets during this time that may have room if moms need care for their children. The children would need to be enrolled in the Kid Care class and class fees paid.
