Description:Basic hand sewing techniques for fashion and everyday objects used inside and outside the home. In this course we will complete 2 smaller projects and one fashion project. This fashion project will be selected with the student and myself with approval of parents from historical sewing books. These books are AMAZING for custom fitted items with out the hassle of altering a pattern. It may seam like this is not beginner level but creating your own pattern from the step by step graphing technique used in historical books it is much easier than using someone else’s pattern in the basic sizing options given. Projects: Leather thimble, Needle Book and fashion project.

We will work further into drills to improve dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, & defense. Scrimmages will take place daily. We seek to glorify the Lord in all we do.

Description:AUG. 5-8 Firmly Planted IGNITE summer camps all start with 30 minutes of group chapel followed by 2 1/2 hours of specialty camps designed to ignite your student's faith. Cost includes a camp t-shirt. Basketball skills and drills is coming to our center! Be the first to meet the new coaches and increase your knowledge and performance of the game! We will start each day with a warmup, work through stations in small and large groups, and have scrimmages that will build confidence and skill. This camp is great for all skill levels. Coach Darren and Coach Kathy bring 14 years combined experience of coaching at Portland Christian. We are thrilled to offer three coaches to our players this summer! I am excited to see how God will use us as a team to bring Him glory and bring the joy of basketball to our kids!
Requirements:Bring your good attitude and comfortable workout clothes with athletic shoes. No sandals allowed. A small snack and water bottle each day.
