This class will focus on strengthening specific muscle groups in order to enable dancers to increase their abilities and as well as their flexibility. We will also focus on technique and stage presence seeking to improve posture, body positioning, turns, and leaps. This class will help the students to take their dancing to the next level.
Requirements:
This class is geared towards students who are in Ballet 2 Teen or higher.
This class is based on the book "Dangerous Book for Boys" which is book filled with all things 'boy'.. Each class session will include activities that boys like to do. We will make paper airplanes, tie knots, play marbles, learn about spies and codes, learn some history, and even make some cool gadgets.
In this debate class we will focus on hot topic issues affecting our world and culture today. We will debate for and against both sides of an argument and will debunk the falsehoods taught in our culture both BIBLICALLY and with scientific and historical evidence. We raise our kids up with our morals and values and teach them to be loving humans, but our culture takes that kindness and uses it to brainwash our children into believing lies and sometimes even turning them against us. With this class I hope to arm students with the knowledge and history of many topics so that their beliefs are reinforced and can not be broken.
Some of the debate topics will include: Can you change your gender? Should Christianity be taught in public school? Should abortion be legal?
Please be aware that there will be mature content in this class though it will still be age appropriate.
This is a twice a week class on Mondays and Wednesdays. Each student will need to have the Zeta Math U See book and test book (the purple ones). This is a WELL ROUNDED curriculum with a focus on decimals, percents and fractions. It also includes: metric system, variables, basic geometric vocabulary, geometric shapes and formulas, probability, and more. It is very important that the student knows their multiplication facts 1-10, has a good understanding of long division, and understands addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions.
