Fairytales and Tutus is a creative ballet class for children, incorporating favorite children’s stories, enchanting costumes, colorful props, and the magic of make-believe! Ballet Attire: Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair should be secured off the face and neck in either a bun or a ponytail Hair must be secured on the face and neck either in a bun or ponytail.
Each week, a new story will come to life though ballet instruction, creative movement, dancing games, colorful costumes, and plenty of imagination! Children will learn ballet basics and incorporate that technique as a character in our weekly story!
Dancers will walk gracefully through a castle, use balance while leaping over a river, and practice coordination while skipping through the forest.

Girls need to wear ballet attire to class: a leotard that the costume can fit over, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair should be secured off the face and neck in either a bun or a ponytail. Boys may wear a t-shirt and sweatpants with ballet shoes.

Children will learn ballet basics and incorporate that technique in a dance as a character in our weekly story that they will perform for the parents at the end of each class. **Students will be performing in two performances for our Spring Dance Show “Moses and The God Who Delivers” (May 15th-18th). This Class will be in Show B. PLEASE READ our syllabus containing more details about the shows and pertinent dance class information is located here on our website. Click on Programs - Dance. Mandatory parent meeting 7pm 2/24. Each semester’s Admin fee includes the show costume rental fee. **Parents may choose to have their student opt out of performing, but will need to communicate that with the teacher by 3/31.

A Very Frozen Tea Party on our last day of class.
This camp will try to incorporate the camp theme of endurance. Dancers will start by getting their face painted, learning ballet basics, having a story time, coloring or craft time, learn a dance to perform at the end of each day, snack time, and a tea party on the final day.
Students will develop understanding of a safe and effective workout in a fun and encouraging environment. Each class builds on the last class to improve agility, strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility. Join Miss Kristin, (AFAA-Aerobics, and Fitness Association of America), Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Together we will work through obstacle courses, body weight strength training, basic sports movements, interval training, and some fun self defense moves. Practicing skills at home will be encouraged. Many new and exciting games like spiderball, sharks, sprout, pinball, and tower topple. As well as scooters relays, dodgeball, parachute play, and much more! This program is designed for each child to build confidence in their abilities, at their own level of fitness, while learning teamwork and good sportsmanship. Our class will also discuss basic nutrition and the fruit of the Spirit regularly. Please be on time for our warm ups at the very beginning and have your student use the restroom before class.
