Presented from a Christian worldview, our class will focus on art appreciation and fun art projects. There will be read-aloud stories about each featured artist, visual examples of their work, and an art project inspired by that featured artist. This Fall, we will be learning about several great American artists. Some possibilities may include John James Audubon, Winslow Homer, Mary Cassatt, Grant Wood, Norman Rockwell, Grandma Moses, Jackson Pollock, and Andy Warhol. Please note that this class will be offered again in the Spring semester, featuring different artists and projects. The class can be taken throughout the entire school year, if desired, or by the semester.
We will play fun games to further develop basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions as well as money skills. Students will participate in team competitions, games that include physical activity, and small group board games.

This is a math support class for families who already use a curriculum at home. This is an opportunity for students to have a "class" experience but continue to do most of their math at home. The teacher will help provide accountability for weekly assignments, offer math support if needed, and participate in activities to build upon math skills. Students can be in upper elementary math through pre-algebra
Requirements:
Students should have a curriculum they are working through at home. Answer key must be provided to teacher. Parent/teacher will communicate weekly about student progress.

Calling all math detectives! A criminal mastermind is on the loose and your math skills are needed to put them behind bars! Students will solve clues using a combination of logic puzzles, brain teasers, and math problems to ultimately crack the case. Short math lessons will be provided at the beginning of the class to aid students in solving the clues. No prerequisites required; if they are unable to solve their clues during the allotted class time, students will need to finish them at home prior to the next week's class.
Sometimes a student needs just a bit more focused attention in certain areas in math. I am available to tutor students at all levels through Algebra 1. While I'm most familiar with Math-U-See or Saxon, I could also help with other publishers' programs. Bring your math books and homework assignments, and let's work on this together. $25/30 min
