Center Stage Jr.: There’s a Giant Spider... Ages 5yrs-8yrs Cooper, Rene Spring 2025 Theater
- Production
Schedule: Tuesday - Dance Studio A - 116: 11:00 am - 11:50 am
Description:Welcome to our first ever Drama Class for early elementary kids! This session, we’ll be adapting a children's book written by one of our very own teachers, Larry Choate, "There’s a Giant Spider in Joey’s Front Yard", into a short play! The story invites us to explore how each creature God created has unique talents and purposes—even those we may fear! Through theater games and fun exercises, your student will learn about the basics of acting and how to use imagination to bring characters to life. In this pared-down performance, we’ll skip costumes and sets to focus on expression and storytelling. I’ll narrate while the children act out their scenes. We’ll wrap up with a small performance on the final day, creating an intimate experience for families in a cozy space so everyone can hear and enjoy. Looking forward to a fun journey into storytelling with all of you!
