| Description: | This is a studio art class for children ages 5 through 8. Students will meet weekly with Miss Lucinda to learn basic skills and techniques in drawing, painting, clay, and various other media. There will also be a fun Christmas project for gift-giving. Along with learning to develop creativity, students will be introduced to master artists from various historical periods and the Seven Elements of Art. Please note that this class will be offered again in the Spring semester, featuring different artists and projects. The class can be taken throughout the entire school year, if desired, or by the semester. The class is a good fit for children who love hands-on projects and can also listen well and follow instructions. |
