| Description: | my name is Jennifer and I am a deaf teacher and will be teaching this sign language class. The class is for first time sign language learner, We will learn the basic of the alphabet, numbers and beginning class. Since I am deaf, I will be signing whole time, through the class. If the students need help understanding what I am saying, they can ask me anything they need to learn or want to learn. I look forward to helping the students learn sign language in a fun fillled way. There will be assignments homework this year to help round it the credit if you as the parents desire it to be a full high school language credit. The book required to purchase for this class can be found on amazon. It is called: Barron’s American Sign Language: A Comprehensive Guide to ASL 1 and 2. |
| Requirements: | Students must be able to conduct themselves responsible in the class while continuing in their homework at home. Since this class is for a language credit, students must be willing to attend class, complete homework, and show understanding of what is being taught in the class. |
