| Description: | This class will cover first aid, CPR, and basic human anatomy and physiology as it applies to medical emergencies. Students will be eligible to obtain CPR certification card through the Red Cross with completion of this class. We will cover things such as heart attacks, choking, burns, lacerations, fractures, seizures, etc.. The goal of the class is to teach the students to assess a situation, do what they can to manage it, and know when to call 911. We will be very hands on with mannequins and medical supplies to simulate real life scenarios as much as possible.
*Disclaimer- Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certification includes teaching about opiate overdoses. Please let me know if this is an issue and we can discuss options. |
| Requirements: | If you wish for your student to obtain a certification card, class attendance is extremely important. If a student misses a class that contains mandatory education for the certification, there will be make-up classes for a fee of $15. |
