| Description: | Come join Center Stage Jr., our theater class for early elementary students, as we bring The Adventures of Frog and Toad to the stage!
This semester, I will adapt one of Arnold Lobel's beloved Frog and Toad stories into a short play. Through the adventures of Frog and Toad, students will explore the importance of kindness, perseverance, and friendship. Frog and Toad show us what it means to be a good friend—caring for one another through life's joys, struggles, and mistakes. Through their simple everyday adventures, they learn the value of doing the right thing, even when it's difficult.
Through theater games and engaging acting exercises, students will learn the basics of performance and discover how to use their imaginations to bring characters to life. In this pared-down production, we'll skip elaborate costumes and sets to focus on expression, creativity, and storytelling. I will serve as narrator while the children act out the scenes.
The semester will conclude with a small in-class performance, creating an intimate theater experience where family members can comfortably see, hear, and enjoy the show. I look forward to sharing this fun storytelling journey with all of you!
