| Description: | My name is Jennifer and I am deaf teacher. This is for first time sign language learners. We will learn the ASL basics of the alphabet, numbers and beginning signs. Since I am deaf, I will be signing at all the times throughout the class. If the students need help understanding what I saying, please communicate with me through the slack. I look forward to helping your students learn sign languages in a fun filled way. There will be assigned homework to help round out the credit if you as the parents desire it to be full high school language credit. The book required to purchase for the class can found on Amazon. It called, Barron's American Sign Language: A comprehensive Guide to ASL 1 and 2. |

| Requirements: | Students must be able to conduct themselves responsibly in the class and are expected to complete any assigned homework at home. Since this is class is for a foreign language credit, students must be willing to attend class, complete homework and show understanding of what is being taught in class. |
