Geography and the Gospel will be on our menu in this class. Your preschool student will learn where the world’s countries are as well as the different oceans and hemispheres. We will also read missionary stories from the countries we study as we learn about telling others the Gospel story. We will use a powerful tool called the Wordless Book. Your preschooler will leave this class with geography skills and armed to share the gospel with the world around them.

Each week students will add a new flag stamp to their Passport and learn about that country's unique characteristics. We will also study & pray each week for different people groups around the world who need to hear about Jesus.

Grab your passport and discover countries & cultures through global crafts, missionary biographies, map skills, crafts, games, art history, world landmarks, holiday celebrations, music ... and international snacks!!! We will travel thorough 6 continents, 24 countries, and learn about a new missionary for each continent. Each week students will add a new flag to their passport, learn about that country’s unique characteristics, label its map, make a craft – and sample tasty snacks to help get that well-rounded cultural experience. We will also study & pray each week for different people groups around the world who need to hear about Jesus. The goal is for our kids to be excited about different cultures, learn basic world geography, but most importantly, to have a heart for missions at home and abroad.
Requirements:
Kids do not need to be proficient readers/writers for this class. Students should be ready to write a few words each week (they can trace or copy from the board). Students will be encouraged to follow 3-step directions, work independently, ask for help if needed, take turns, and show kindness and respect to the teacher and fellow classmates.
About once a month I may have a take-home assignment for the kids to do and bring back.
