Description:Preschoolers will follow the Earth around the sun on a joyful journey through the seasons! With songs, stories, hands-on activities, and nature exploration, children will discover God’s design in winter snowflakes, spring blooms, summer sunshine, and autumn leaves. Weekly activities include art, games, and discovery time that build early learning skills in science, math, and literacy, all while celebrating God’s creativity. Students will explore how plants and animals adapt, practice fine motor skills, and grow in friendships—all through playful, purposeful learning that inspires wonder and praise. Every class is filled with opportunities to see God’s hand in the world around us while building fine motor skills, language development, and friendships. Whether planting seeds, making snowflake art, or crunching through “fall leaves,” students will experience learning that is playful, purposeful, and full of wonder.
Requirements:Students to be able to sit long enough for a story and participate in age apropiate group songs and games. A parent is always welcome in class if a child needs some help. Please be avalible during class for bathroom or diaper breaks.

Description:Is spelling a mystery to you? Have no fear, this course demystifies the English language by using the time-tested Spell to Write and Read method. Students will learn to decode the English language by introducing phonics-based spelling rules which form the foundation of the English language. Did you know that approximately 84% of English words are mostly predictable, using sound-symbol correspondences and spelling patterns? This course integrates spelling, writing, and reading, all critical skills to master before advancing to composition. Alphabet Architects incorporates four of the five senses, making it well suited for all types of learners. Attention to handwriting is emphasized. Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: practice the process of "hear, say, think, write, read" 70 basic phonograms that comprise the English language, apply 28 spelling rules that govern the use of phonograms in the English language, spell 300 most frequently used words in the English language (20 each week), analyzing each word to identify applicable spelling rules, produce a learning log of word lists, sentences, spelling rules and grammar basics, write original, complete, correctly spelled sentences Evaluation Methods: (Instructor will give detailed feedback on elements below): In-class activities and participation, Completion of Black Learning Log, which will become a reference source for future learning, Pre- and post-evaluations to measure growth.
Requirements:Prerequisites: Students should write lowercase manuscript letters using conventional (top down, left to right) strokes, and be able to decode (read) age-appropriate source material using 70 basic phonograms that comprise the English language. Students will learn spelling strategies that build upon the letter-sound correspondences they have attained thus far. Students will use effective communication skills in group activities including: Listen attentively by making eye contact, facing the speaker, asking questions, and summarizing what is said, Ask and respond to questions from teacher and other group members Explain what has been learned

Description:Many young students find History boring and have a hard time remembering things they learned in History class, but it is so important to know our history so why not have fun with it? In this class we will be learning about and reenacting 4 major events in American History and the details that led up to these events. The events are the American Revolutionary War, The Civil War, World War 1, & World War 2. Students will be given a part and a script and will perform each event. My goal is to help students retain their knowledge of American History and hopefully foster an interest in it as well.

Description:This is a CORE class that meets twice a week for the full year. CORE classes have greater expectations of students, parents, and teachers. Parents are required to attend the mandatory CORE Classes Parent Meeting immediately following Family Orientation on either August 27th at 6:45pm or August 29th at 2:45pm. High school students who have completed basic biology and have any interest at all in any type of health-care career (any and all aspects of medicine, dentistry, nursing, physical therapy, EMT/paramedic, medical tech, medical or dental assisting, PA, NP, midwifery, naturopathy, acupuncture, dental hygiene, etc.) will be ahead of the game by joining us for Anatomy & Physiology. We will use Apologia’s Advanced Biology for our text. Students will also need an anatomy coloring book (they use these in universities and medical schools). We will be using the Anatomy Coloring Book, 4th edition, by Wynn Kapit. Students will also need a set of quality colored pencils. Class time will be spent reviewing anatomy and systems and performing various physiology labs. We will also perform a more extensive dissection of the fetal pig than we did in General Biology, as well as dissections of the cow eye, sheep brain, and sheep heart. More information will be sent regarding texts and materials after registration. This is a full-year science class. Instructor will administer and correct tests and keep grade records.
Requirements:Students should have taken General biology before registering for this course. Students must purchase Apologia’s Advanced Biology book, the Anatomy Coloring Book 4th edition by Wynn Kapit, and a set of quality colored pencils.
