Schedule: Description: In this class we will read through some of the My First Little House books (both Laura and Almanzo stories) and learn what it was like to be a pioneer. We will make covered wagons, paint chalkboards, do some sewing of “quilts”, weaving, build log cabins, pressed leaves/flower letters and explore what it was like to live like a pioneer. We will also do some nature study of animals (ones mentioned in our stories: bees, cows, chickens,etc), and plant identification and some uses of them. I plan to make “badges” and the children would earn a badge when they learned a new skill. Requirements: This class is in a Seedlings Co-op track. Each Seedlings track consists of two classes (Block A and B). By registering for this class, your child will automatically be registered for both blocks.
