Description:PREREQUISITE - New students will be accepted by audition only. Please contact the teacher to schedule your student's audition. This class will be taken after Ballet 2A or 1B is completed successfully and teacher agrees student is ready to move forward, or by audition.   Barre Skills – All basic barre positions and steps but adding in port a bras and by the end of the year – releves.    Center Floor - Chasse, pique, single pirouette working towards double in fifth, arabesque, chasse sote, glissade, echappe, balance, assamble, changment, chasse tour jete, begin learning pique turns, Pas de bouree ́. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun.This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Spring Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd at 6:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal the evening before on May 20th at 6:30 PM. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive half off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due by March 15th. (Estimated $25 to rent.)

Description:Have you ever wondered what to say when someone challenges your faith or asks a question about God? Apologetics is a major step in your personal spiritual growth. Knowing why we believe what we believe is more important now than it has ever been. This interactive class will not only be taught from a Bible-based perspective, but will be done through fun and entertaining conversations. Each class begins with Q&A time, where I will answer any questions you can think of, while encouraging participation. The structure of the course is done in a fresh and relevant way, this is not your grandpa's Sunday School class. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. Bring a Bible, notebook and pen. I will supply the book.

Description:In this class we will be exploring all the senses, with Beethoven to Mozart playing in the background as well as playing instruments to satisfy our sense of hearing, painting, play dough, sensory bins and much more fun things to satisfy touch, creating interesting things for our eyes to see, and learning about different smells and tastes. It will be a busy and fun class, so join us for all the fun. This class is in a Seedlings Co-op track. Each track consists of two classes (Block A and B). By registering for this class, your child will automatically be registered for both blocks. Parents are required to help in a class during one of the two blocks. Ceramic Apprentice Ages 14yr-19yr+ Tracy Gregory Spring 2024 Arts

Description:Apprenticeship with Miss Tracy is a studio-based, hands-on learning experience that can offer an invaluable window into the career of a studio ceramic artist. This age-old model of transference of craft skills, ideas, and practice will provide a unique learning opportunity for your student. In this class we will discuss in-class helper guidelines tips and techniques, studio equipment training, and chore expectations. Apprentices will be trained in all the nuances and needs of the duties that are unique to our studio as well as discussion/exposure to alternative types of studio environments.
Requirements:Apprentices need to help in some of the scheduled classes being held in the ceramics studio. Any class Apprentices choose for their own study will be billed at a 25% reduced fee for every hour of class they help in. Apprentices will be invited to assist in studio activities such as kiln loading and unloading as well as private use of the studio when no classes are present. Additionally I will request occasional studio work days for tidying the studio between sessions and general maintenance of shared class tools and supplies.

General Science Ages 12yr-16yr Andrew Ringnalda Winter/Spring 2021 Science

Description:PREREQUISITE - must have completed fall/winter term in order to register for this class. Not accepting new students. This is an introductory course for students just beginning a formal study of the sciences. We will be using Apologia's General Science, 2nd edition. As a core class, students will receive a grade based on lab participation and module test scores. We will aim to cover one module every two weeks. Class time will focus on review of concepts from the text and lab work. The course covers topics ranging from the scientific method, nature of scientific investigation,and the history of science to introductions to geology, biology, and anatomy. Students will need to have access to our Google Classroom. We will not use class time for tests. Each module test will be posted on the Classroom stream after the module and appropriate labs have been completed. Instructions for tests will be provided in class. Materials Required: A pen or pencil, a notebook, and their textbook.

Description:In this course we will explore the world through the conceptual lens of the field of electromechanical dynamics. We will explore how energy transfers relate to our every day lives, explore how heat is simply another form of light, and more as we learn the basics of the electromechanical and energy based model of the world. Double Digit Addition and Subtraction (Fall) Ages 6yr-8yr May Jackson Fall 2022 Math

Description:This curriculum focuses on double digit addition and subtraction and also covers: place value, inequalities, skip counting, money, rounding, measurements, perimeter, and thousands place value notation. We will be using manipulative regularly in class to help the students visually see how numbers easily work together. Each student will have access to a weekly video they can watch before coming to class to help assist them in their understanding of the lesson.
Requirements:Each student will need to have the Beta Math U See workbook book and test book (orange ones). Parent's signature are required on all student's weekly quizzes. All IEP students must be accompanied by a parent during each class.

Apologia Biology Ages 15yr-18yr Andrew Ringnalda Fall 2023 Science

Description:This is a CORE class that meets twice a week for the full year. Parents are required to attend the mandatory Core Parent Meeting immediately following Family Orientation on either August 24th at 2pm, August 24th at 6pm, September 7th at 2pm, or September 7th at 6pm. This class is intended for high-school students who need to begin earning lab science credits. We will be using the Apologia Biology, 3rd Edition text. Apologia courses are designed to be self-directed learning, so students should be prepared to spend at least an hour each day studying the material. The course is divided into a review session on Mondays and the accompanying lab on Wednesdays. The teacher's fee is for both the review and the lab. The review session is to hold students accountable for getting the work done in a timely manner as well as cover difficult concepts that students often have difficulty understanding. Two weeks are being allotted for each module. Students are expected to keep up with the readings and come to lab prepared. This is a full-year course intended to help satisfy a student’s high school lab science credit requirements. Instructor will administer and correct tests and keep grade records.
