Description:Sensory learners - This class is designed for kids who have unique struggles such as communication delays, learning delays, or other challenges that make a regular classroom setting difficult. Class will start with free play as kids are dropped off and then we will move on to a quick story and lesson where we will incorporate the 5 senses just to make it messier and more fun. We will learn letters, numbers, colors, work on writing, drawing & much more. We will also work on stretching our attention span, self control, cleaning up after ourselves, and having overall good classroom etiquette. I created this class because of my nonverbal son Aleksey whom I have to get creative with when it comes to learning and I thought as I’m teaching him why not include some friends. Join us for fun learning in a classroom setting designed exactly for your child. Aleksey and I will see you there. 😊 P.S. Please message me on slack about any specific struggles your child has as this will help me incorporate things to meet your child’s needs and ensure their success in class. Thank you!

- Multi Media
Schedule: Monday - Art Studio - 129: 1:00 pm - 2:20 pm
Description:Ages: 7-12+ *We are circling back around to Part I of DC&O this semester which follows the same structure as Parts II & III but incorporates different projects! There is no prerequisite to this class, please join us!* In this class we will use guided drawing as a means to discovering our own unique art style. Lessons will emphasize important foundational elements of a successful drawing and painting as we refer to famous works and styles created by the Masters, including a few contemporary artists. Students will learn how to see the world as an artist by breaking down complex subjects into simple shapes. Emphasis will be placed on “loosening up;” placing much less energy on perfected realism, and celebrating the “imperfect” mark making that contributes to an interesting painting and design. We will cover drawing and painting technique, with wide exposure to multiple mediums. It is helpful to prepare your student in knowing the emphasis in this class will be placed on “loosening up;” placing less energy in obtaining perfected realism, and more focus in celebrating the fresh and “imperfect” mark making that contributes to an interesting painting and design. If your student is open to following along with directions to reach a beautiful and unique end result they can be proud of, this is the class for them! We will complete 7-8 bold, beautiful art projects throughout the semester, each project taking a few sessions to complete. *Please note class duration will be 80 minutes.* Due to the nature of our multiple session projects, it is important your student attends as many classes as possible. Please send students in clothes that can get messy so they can feel free to create!
