Description:Fairytales and Tutus is a creative ballet class for children ages 3-6 years old, incorporating favorite children’s stories, enchanting costumes, colorful props, and the magic of make-believe! Each week, a new story will come to life though ballet instruction, creative movement, dancing games, colorful costumes, and plenty of imagination! Children will learn ballet basics such as pointing toes and walking gracefully like a royal princess. Students will strengthen their balance and coordination as they leap over a river or skip through a forest as a character in their favorite story! Boys and girls both welcome!! In this enchanting class, your child will experience such beloved stories as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Fancy Nancy, Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, and many more! Materials required for students to bring to class: Ballet Attire: Leotard, Tights, Ballet Slippers.. Hair must be pulled back off face and neck. Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Christmas and Spring Shows. The Spring Show is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd at 6:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal the evening before on May 20th at 6:30 PM.

Description:In this creative drama class, favorite children’s stories, fairytales, and folktales from around the world come to life through theatre games, creative movement, improvisation, and storyplay. Costumes, props, and music help encourage children’s imagination. Storybook Theatre is a non-performance based program that introduces children to the magic of stories, movement, and theatre. Each week a new story is presented as inspiration for creativity! In the Winter Session children will experience The Elves and the Shoemaker, Click Clack Moo-Cows that Type, Tacky the Penguin, and many more! They include formal administration and scoring of appropriate developmental assessments and written report of intervention suggestions, sensory diets, and/or curriculum recommendations. Description:Let's express our creativity through God's word! We'll be using mixed media art materials every week to fill our Bibles with color and texture. Bible journaling is a fantastic way to express your artistic side AND document your journey and relationship with Christ. -Incorporate natural materials -Fill every page with emotion and character through art -Grow your relationship with God -Use many different artistic mediums to express yourself! -Don't forget a JOURNALING BIBLE! These can be purchased at a Christian bookstore or on Amazon. * Please bring your journaling bible, and art supplies (e.g. colored pencils, micron pens, stickers) to class each week. Homework will consist of an art prompt and bible memory verse each week. ABOUT ME: I have spent the last 7 years developing my skills of teaching and caring for young children. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and was homeschooled from 3rd grade-high school. I would love to pass on the wonderful parts of homeschooling to your children!

Ballet 1A - Tues Ages 5yr-7yr Kaylah Alicea Winter/Spring 2021 Dance

Schedule: Tuesday - Dance Studio A - 116: 3:00 pm - 3:50 pm
Description:Enter our new ballet program with this basic ballet class. In this class, students will be taught the basics of ballet, how to follow instructions, ballet etiquette, and prepare a performance piece for the Christmas and Spring Dance Shows. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun. We look forward to enjoying the basics of ballet through barre work, stretching, and floor exercises. Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Christmas and Spring Shows. The Spring Show is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd at 6:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal the evening before on May 20th at 6:30 PM. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive half off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due by March 15th. (Estimated $25 to rent.)

Fitness Foundations 1 Ages 5yr-7yr Kristin Krasko Winter/Spring 2021 Physical Fitness

Description:Ages 5-7 years old will develop understanding of a safe and effective workout in a fun and encouraging environment. Each class builds on the last class to improve agility, strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility. Join Miss Kristin, (AFAA-Aerobics, and Fitness Association of America), Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Together we will work through obstacle courses, body weight strength training, basic sports movements, interval training, and some fun self defense moves. Many new and exciting games like spiderball, sprout, and tower topple. As well as scooters relays, parachute play, and much more! This program is designed for each child to build confidence in their abilities, at their own level of fitness, while learning teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Description:An engaging introduction into ballet, tap, and tumbling. We will be focusing on dance as an art, using our bodies to communicate messages through dance.This is a fast moving class where your child will be able to learn through easy dance steps, fun choreography, and some props! Dancers will have the opportunity to share their dances at our Spring Show. Passport to Dance Ages 5yr-12yr Alene Hochstetter Winter/Spring 2021 Dance

Description:Let’s take a trip around the world! Countries and cultures will come alive though folktales, arts and crafts, map exploration, games, and language. Each week a new country is introduced. Students will learn about that country’s customs, celebrations, famous landmarks and people, fun facts, and more. Each child will receive a passport that will be stamped weekly! This class can be taken in conjunction with Passport to Dance and follows the same weekly countries. This Winter Session, students will learn about the Russia Winter Festivals, Santa Lucia Celebration in Scandinavia, African Folktales, Australia Day, Masquerades in Italy, and more!
