Ballet 1B (10-13yr olds)– This class is to be taken after Ballet 1A and 2A are completed or upon entering the ballet program at an older age. Barre Skills: First, second, and fifth position, tendu, plie, grand plie, releve, sous-sus, arabesque, proper barre etiquette, and must be able to show a stronger ability to hold positions longer and with correct body placement. Center Floor: Chasse, pique, single pirouette from fourth, arabesque, chasse sote, glissade, echappe and balance. Across the floor: chaine turns, basic grandjete leaps. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun.This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year.
