Description:
Come and fall in love with the beauty and fun of ballet. Through engaging teaching, games, and music we will learn the fundamentals of ballet. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share some of what they’ve learned at an informal Winter Showcase on December 6th or 7th and a dance at our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due at Spring registration. (Estimated $25 to rent.) Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun. We look forward to enjoying the basics of ballet through barre work, stretching, and floor exercises. Students are encouraged to stretch and practice what they learn in class at home a few minutes each day.

This class is for those of teen age who have completed at least two years of Ballet 1 and been approved by the teacher to move into a more difficult class. This class will focus heavily on technique, core strength, and the ability to learn new choreography. Class will always begin with barre work and then transition to the center and across the floor. Class will be held twice per week and it is strongly recommended for students to take a strengthening and conditioning class at the center as well. We recommend Dance Conditioning, Ladies Cardio, Weights, Fun and Done, or a Teen Fitness class. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun.
