Description:Come strengthen your keyboarding and computer skills in this hands-on course! Students will spend 4 weeks each on: word processing, spreadsheets, slideshow presentations, and simple graphic design. This class is appropriate for students looking to learn their way around a computer as well as seasoned students needing time in the computer lab to complete homework assignments. The teacher will give assignments for each unit, but any assignment may be replaced with a similar one of the student's or parent's choosing to make the best use of lab time. This class accommodates a wide age range as it is run more like concurrent tutoring than whole classroom teaching, reach out to the teacher on Slack if you have any questions!

Description:1000 Hours Outside is a curriculum dedicated to getting kids outside and active, while also using nature to get creative. In this class we will be doing projects from the 1000 Hours Outside activity book and learning about the plants and animals of the Pacific Northwest. The curriculum is about the time parents and their kids spend outside together when not in class. If you have a child that is younger, parents welcome to sit in and help with crafts. Spend as much time outside as humanly possible! Rain or shine, it’s all making memories and developing knowledge for your family. Students will need 1 “1000 Hours Outside” activity book and 1 foraging bag (You can buy these at 1000HoursOutside.com)

Description:Come have fun preparing fun, kid friendly dishes. We will talk about food safety as well as proper use of utensils. Everything we prepare will be GF, if you have other food sensitivities, please let me know. We will be preparing food like rice krispie treats, applesauce, french toast, jam, ice cream, pizza and more! The $15 supply fee will include a kid sized apron that each child will get to keep at the end of the semester. This class is in a Seedlings Co-op track. Introduction to World History Ages 7yr-9yr Sara Velarde Fall 2022 Social Studies

Description:A broad overview of historic events set on a visual timeline, with a focus on contextualizing the passage of time. Each class will be a mini-dive into one major world event, intended to be a very first introduction to world history from a high level. Class will include a lot of read-aloud with accompanying pictures (like Eyewitness books), and simple worksheets to fill out together to promote critical thinking about each world event. Optional supplemental reading of fun historical fiction early-reader chapter books at home that follow each of our world events (like Magic Tree House and The Imagination Station series).

Chemistry Lab Ages 15yr-18yr Andrew Ringnalda Fall 2023 Science

Description:This is a CORE class that meets once a week for the full year. Parents are required to attend the mandatory Core Parent Meeting immediately following Family Orientation on either August 24th at 2pm, August 24th at 6pm, September 7th at 2pm, or September 7th at 6pm. Along with biology and physics, chemistry is one of the core sciences studied by high school students. This is a full-year course intended to help satisfy a student’s high school science credit requirements. Learning how to perform lab work successfully and safely along with learning how to communicate lab findings through lab reports is the main emphasis of this class. This is the lab component for the full-year chemistry lecture/review offered by Mrs. Valenti. Concurrent enrollment for both courses is required.
