Schedule: Monday - Dance Studio A - 116: 4:00 pm - 5:20 pm
Description:Students will build on their artisitc skills and emotion that they learned in the Lyrical Level 2 Class. Student’s dance skills will be strengthened as they will continue to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props such as long skirts, sheets of fabric, ribbons and scarves. Level three students will get opportunities to explore working on their own choreography as well as on a shadow dance project. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share a dance at our Winter Showcase (December 6th/7th) and our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Costume fees for the Spring Show are due at Spring registration. (Estimated $25 to rent.) Wear dance attire and shoes. Students are encouraged to stretch and practice what they learn in class at home a few minutes each day.

Choreography 101 Ages 12yr-18yr Alexa Kehler Fall 2021 Dance

Schedule: Monday - Dance Studio B - 118: 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm
Description:This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to take a dance performance idea or theme and turn it into reality. In this class we will discuss song/music style and choice, dance styles, how to plan out group forms and contrasting movements, how to write your choreography down so you can remember it, props or no props… Students will come up with their own theme and develop a small group dance project throughout the first half of the semester. During the second half of the semester, they will be coached on how to instruct their classmates in order to perform their piece by the END of the semester at our own showcase night. Students may continue to satisfy their creative bent by taking Choreography 102 second semester. During this second semester students will work singly or with a group to come up with a project for a large dance group that will perform their piece in the Spring Show. Bring a notebook and a pencil or pen and access to music for your project. (Students may use their cell phone or device in class for their music.) Wear dance attire and ballet, jazz or lyrical shoes. Students will be expected to follow the course syllabus and complete each weekly activity in order to be able to produce their projects at the end of the semester. Previous dance experience is required. Student must have taken a minimum of one year of a level two class or get the teacher’s approval. Teen Hip Hop Jazz Ages 11yr-18yr Alexa Kehler Fall 2021 Dance

Schedule: Wednesday - Dance Studio A - 116: 4:00 pm - 4:50 pm
Description:Have you ever wanted to learn some cool moves and to dance with a fun group? Then join us as we groove to contemporary Christian hip hop music while learning a mix of hip hop and jazz dance. Dance moves will always be conservative and may include props, tumbling, and/or special light effects. Students should come to class wearing shoes and clothes easy to dance in. Jazz shoes may be worn but are not necessary. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share a dance at our Winter Showcase (December 6th/7th) and our Spring Dance Show. Description:Come and learn beginning tap in a fun and engaging class targeted to instill a love of sound, dance, and rhythm. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share some of what they’ve learned at an informal Winter Showcase on December 6th or 7th and a dance at our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Tap 2 Ages 8yr-13yr Anne Knoedler Fall 2021 Dance

Description:Join us as we continue to build on the foundation of tap dance from tap 1. We will learn more advanced steps and rhythms in a fun and engaging class. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share some of what they’ve learned at an informal Winter Showcase on December 6th or 7th and a dance at our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Description:Join us as we tap faster, longer, and stronger. We will focus on accuracy and speed in this high energy class. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share some of what they’ve learned at an informal Winter Showcase on December 6th or 7th and a dance at our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Ballet 2B Ages 12yr-16yr Alexa Kehler Fall 2021 Dance

Schedule: Wednesday - Dance Studio A - 116: 2:00 pm - 2:50 pm
Description:PREREQUISITE - This class will be taken after Ballet 2A or 1B is completed successfully and teacher agrees student is ready to move forward, or by audition.   Barre Skills – All basic barre positions and steps but adding in port a bras and by the end of the year – releves.    Center Floor - Chasse, pique, single pirouette working towards double in fifth, arabesque, chasse sote, glissade, echappe, balance, assamble, changment, chasse tour jete, begin learning pique turns, and Pas de bouree ́. Ballet attire is required to attend class (pink tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) as well as hair pulled back in a bun.This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. During our fall semester dancers will be practicing technique, form, posture and steps in combination. The students will get to exhibit their learned skills at a Winter Showcase (December 6th/7th). During the spring semester dancers will have the opportunity to learn a dance to share at our Spring Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more specifics coming at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Description:Let us introduce you to the fun of ballet, tap, and tumbling! We will explore different forms of movement in an engaging, energetic class. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share some of what they’ve learned at an informal Winter Showcase on December 6th or 7th and a dance at our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester. Ballet 2A Ages 6yr-11yr Kaylah Alicea Fall 2021 Dance

Description:Ballet 2A is a ballet class for 6-10 year olds and student have passed level Ballet 1a year 1 and 2. We will be stepping up the ballet instruction by adding in barre work and more difficult combinations. I look forward to helping your student become better at Ballet and work hard to achieve their goals! This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Dancers will have the opportunity to share some of what they’ve learned at an informal Winter Showcase on December 6th or 7th and a dance at our Spring Dance Show. The Spring Show is scheduled for the weekend of May 20th and 21st at 6:00 PM, with more details to come at the mandatory parent meeting in the fall. Students taking multiple classes (or siblings) receive 25% off their second class taken with the same instructor. Fees may be paid monthly or by semester.
