Description:NEW STEM SCIENTISTS is a "Hands-On" class for 7-12 year olds. Students will learn new concepts every week and perform ALL NEW SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS that reinforce that concept, to take home. Our classes will include Science, Chemistry, Physics & Engineering.
Requirements:Parents need to notify the teacher through Slack if their child will be absent so an experiment can be set aside for that student. Parent help in class is always appreciated.

Description:This is a WELL ROUNDED curriculum with a focus on fractions, but NOT solely fractions. It also includes: mental math, linear measure, multiple digit multiplication and division, variables, geometric figures, and formulas. It is very important that the student knows their multiplications facts 1-10 and has an understanding of long division. Each student will have access to a weekly video they can watch before coming to class to help assist them in their understanding of the lesson. This is very helpful if your family goes on vacation or needs to miss a week.

Description:Have you ever wondered what to say when someone challenges your faith or asks a question about God? Apologetics is a major step in your personal spiritual growth. Knowing why we believe what we believe is more important now than it has ever been. This interactive class will not only be taught from a Bible-based perspective, but will be done through fun and entertaining conversations. Each class begins with Q&A time, where I will answer any questions you can think of, while encouraging participation. The structure of the course is done in a fresh and relevant way, this is not your grandpa's Sunday School class. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. Description:This will be a twice a week class on Mondays and Wednesdays. Each student will need to have the Pre-Algebra Math U See book and test book. This is a well rounded curriculum which covers: positive and negative numbers, exponents, expanded and exponential notation, roots and radicals, variables, geometric formulas, rations and proportions, polynomials, irrational numbers, square root formula, and more. It is very important that the student has a good understanding of: multiplication facts 1-12, long division, fraction (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and decimals. Each student will have access to a weekly video they can watch before coming to class to help assist them in their understanding of the lesson. Description:LEGO® & DUPLO® Builds is designed for 5-7 year olds. During each class period, children will have the opportunity to hear a true dog story and will then be given a building task. Using DUPLO and/or LEGO bricks, children will be encouraged to creatively build something from each story’s theme. Mrs. Czerwien will allow for much creative freedom!

LEGO® Builds - Military Jets Ages 8yr-12yr Sharon Czerwien Spring 2024 Science

Description:LEGO® Builds—Military Jets is designed for 8-12 year olds. The students will have the opportunity to build LEGO creations while incorporating the day’s military jet theme. There will be two parts to each class period. 1) A brief YouTube video on the week’s theme to help the students learn more about the week’s STEM-based concept. 2) A LEGO Brick “Build Task” where the students get the chance to use their creativity to build with LEGO Bricks. Mrs. Czerwien will allow for a great amount of creative flexibility during each class period! For this course, each student will receive their personal LEGO set, LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Supersonic Jet (31126). The set will be paid for via the class supply fee. The students will get to take their set home at the end of the semester.

This is a WELL ROUNDED curriculum with a focus on single digit addition and subtraction, which also covers: place value, counting to 100, skip counting, shapes, telling time, and more. Each student will have access to a weekly video they can watch before coming to class to help assist them in their understanding of the lesson. This is very helpful if your family goes on vacation or needs to miss a week.

Lyrical Youth Ages 8yr-11yr Jade Moore Fall 2023 Dance

Schedule: Wednesday - Dance Studio A - 116: 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm
Description:Students will learn to dance with expression and artistry, using differing emotions and styles of music. Previous dance experience is required. Students need to have taken a class such as ballet, tap or hip hop jazz for at least one year. Student’s basic dance skills will be strengthened and they will be stretched to explore dance as an art and means of communicating ideas. We will be dancing with props including scarves or ribbons. Students should wear loose-fitting clothes, ballet, jazz, or lyrical shoes and their hair pulled back away from their face. This is a year long class and students will be asked to commit to attending for the entire year. Students will be performing in a Winter Showcase on January 19th as well as the Spring Dance Show in May (16th-19th). Requirements:Dancer must have taken at least one year of ballet or other dance.
