Each class begins with Q&A time, where I will answer any questions you can think of, while encouraging participation. Basic hand sewing techniques for fashion and everyday objects used inside and outside the home. In this course we will complete 2 smaller projects and one fashion project. This fashion project will be selected with the student and myself with approval of parents from historical sewing books. These books are AMAZING for custom fitted items with out the hassle of altering a pattern. It may seam like this is not beginner level but creating your own pattern from the step by step graphing technique used in historical books it is much easier than using someone else’s pattern in the basic sizing options given. Projects: Leather thimble, Needle Book and fashion project.
